• Wizards Accidentally Reveals Over 30 TMNT Cards at Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease

    Ninja Turtles may be known for hiding in the New York City sewers but it turns out they may also be hiding in your Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease kit.  Prerelease events started on Friday, the 16th but many players quickly realized that their foil promos were actually cards from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set that releases in March. This caused over 30 cards to be accidentally leaked ahead of schedule during the Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease.

  • What Shock Lands in Lorwyn Eclipsed Means for Standard

    Shock lands are a popular and versatile dual land option in Magic: The Gathering. Starting with Edge of Eternities, shock lands are making their way back into standard. With Edge of Eternities, we saw 5 of the 10 shock lands come back into play.  The last time we saw all 10 shock lands in standard was when they were released in the Ravnica sets from 2018 and 2019.  With Lorwyn Eclipsed, we’ll see the other 5 shock lands not in Edge of Eternities come back into Standard.

  • Scrapped Leader Mechanic Revealed For Lorwyn Eclipsed

    With every set, a document is created during the design process called the “Vision Design Handoff Document.” Mark Rosewater, the lead designer for Magic: The Gathering along with the set’s Vision Design Lead will release that document as the release date draws near.  Yesterday, Rosewater and Mark Gottlieb, the Vision Design Lead for Lorwyn Eclipsed released part 1 of the Vision Design Handoff Document.  That document is available at Daily MTG.  

  • Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander Precon Includes Infinite Combo

    With the upcoming release of Lorwyn Eclipsed, we’re getting two new precon Commander decks that celebrate the duality of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor.  Ashling, an elemental, will lead the Dance of the Elements deck while Auntie Ool, a boggart from Shadowmoor will lead the Blight Curse deck. As reported by Timothy Zaccagnino from Draftsim, the Blight Curse deck has an infinite combo that once it begins, instantly wins the game.

  • Wizards of the Coast Set to Increase MTG Prices in 2026

    It’s no secret that as time goes on, prices go up.  Such is the case with Magic: The Gathering in its upcoming Multiverse sets. Announced first on Daily MTG by Mike Turian and Jubilee Finnegan, and as reported by Alex Atkin at MTG Rocks, Wizards of the Coast is increasing the price of two of their products in January 2026 when Lorwyn Eclipsed is released.
