I have 2 decks for modern right now, G/B Elves, and Infect. I frickin love infect. And look at how bloody cheap I started it:

Infect damage only has to get to 10. There are many spells that pump your creatures waaay up into the redzone so that it's a one time swing. Always wait to cast Predator's Strike because then you can maximize damage output.
For anyone wanting to get into magic, this is a fairly decent deck. 1) almost all of the creatures have reminder text. Except for Rancor. Easiest way to remember Trample is if a chicken decides to cross the road and a rhino doesn't like the question, the rhino runs the chicken down, and tramples the chicken under his feet. Seems simple enough, right?
I play a much different list for modern play, but hey, we all have to start somewhere.
