Magic: The Gathering is over 30 years old. In that time, over 200 sets have been released. Some of those sets were major releases or part of a block of sets while others were more limited in scope like Assassin’s Creed or the Doctor Who Commander decks. Additionally, there are over 30,000 unique card names but when you consider reprints and art variants, the number rises to over 90,000. Now, as reported by John Hall at Star City Games, Magic: The Gathering is going to release an official coloring book.

The Official Magic: The Gathering Coloring Book will feature 80 pages. The artwork inside, according to the listing on Amazon, is “iconic and fan-favorite illustrations from across Magic’s three-decade history.” This coloring book will include art from a variety of settings, creatures, and characters in. This will be an adult-style coloring book.
In its 30+ year history, over 1,500 artists have worked on Magic: The Gathering with only 25 when the original Alpha set was released in 1993. Prolific artists like Zoltan Boros, John Avon, and Adam Paquette have elevated Magic: The Gathering to the level it’s at today. It will be interesting to see which cards made the 80-page cut.
The MSRP for The Official Magic: The Gathering Coloring book is $17.99 USD and will only be available in paperback. However, pre-orders are live right now and early adopters can lock in a price of $14.39 which is 20% off the MSRP. The Official Magic: The Gathering Coloring Book releases on April 28th.
