It’s been just over a month since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made a surprise cameo at the Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease. As a result of the mix-up, different plans were needed for preview season. During today’s debut stream on YouTube, we got to see some of the new variant art treatments being offered for the Ninja Turtles.

Kevin Eastman Borderless Turtles

During Wizards' first look at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we got to see the Kevin Eastman art for Leonardo, Sewer Samurai.  Now we’ve been able to see the other three turtles in this comic book style art.  These cards are  borderless and have a gold trim including a gold signature by Kevin Eastman. The newly revealed cards are:

• Raphael, Ninja Destroyer
• Michelangelo, Improviser
• Donatello, Mutant Mechanic

Borderless Silhouette

Four cards were also revealed with a silhouette art style.  Artists Joshua Alvarado and Andrew Griffith brought these to life. The borderless silhouette cards revealed today are:

• Raphael, Ninja Destroyer
• Donatello, Mutant Mechanic
• Michelangelo, Improviser
• Krang, Utrom Warlord

Borderless Pixel Cards

Pixel Art cards will be popular especially for fans of Secret Lair that have had pixel art treatments in the past. The cards revealed today are very reminiscent of the classic NES Ninja Turtles video game.  Two borderless cards with this pixel art were revealed today. Those cards are:

• Shredder, Shadow Master
• Ninja Pizza

Source Material Cards

Reprints of popular Magic cards using art directly from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be available.  The cards being showcased this way are:

• All Will Be One
• Brainstorm
• Waves of Aggression
• Underworld Breach
• Doubling Season

Japan Showcase Cards

Popular with collectors, Japan Showcase treatments feature iconic Magic: The Gathering cards in Japanese art styles by Japanese artists.  During today’s stream, two cards from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set were revealed with the Japanese Showcase treatment. Those cards are:

• Krang, Utrom Warlord
• Casey Jones, Vigilante

TMNT Preview Schedule

There are even more reveals happening this week. The schedule for the Ninja Turtles preview is:

• Feb 18 — Commander Precon Turtle Power! reveal by The Command Zone
• Feb 19 — Magic creators reveal select commons and uncommons
• Feb 20 — Full Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set revealed

The next Universes Beyond set, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on MTG Arena on March 3rd with a worldwide release for table top players on March 6th.
