Thanks to a mix up with the Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease kits, the next Universes Beyond set, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had all 61 of its rares/mythic rares revealed early. The rares in a set are often used as the backbone of preview season for an upcoming set so Wizards of the Coast was forced to think outside the box to get people excited for Ninja Turtles. Wizards is now sharing their preview plans in an announcement made this morning on Daily MTG.
Tuesday February 17th
Preview season kicks off on the 17th with the official set debut on YouTube and Twitch. The debut stream will be used as a celebration of the different card treatments coming to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Borderless cards by artist Kevin Eastman will also be unveiled.
Also happening on the 17th is 3 borderless scene cards featuring the Ninja Turtles. This will coincide with some new card reveals and Booster Fun versions of previously revealed cards.
Wednesday February 18th
The single Commander precon coming to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtle Power! is going to be revealed one day later on the 18th. This reveal will be handled by the popular Commander-centric YouTube channel, The Command Zone.
Thursday February 19th
On the 19th, members of the Magic Community will show off some new commons and uncommons that are coming to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There is no word on what creators will be involved as of yet. Also, the new co-op mode built for TMNT, Turtle Team-Up, will be fully revealed.
Friday February 20th
One week from today on the 20th, anything not yet shown off for Ninja Turtles will be revealed. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set will then be released worldwide on March 6th.
