Today at their quarterly investor’s call, Hasbro debriefed those in attendance on the financial standings of the company for 2025. Hasbro has seen significant growth across multiple properties including Wizards of the Coast, Peppa Pig, Transformers, Marvel, and Monopoly Go!.
During the year 2025, Hasbro’s mobile gaming which is primarily led by Monopoly Go! and Wizards of the Coast, makers of Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering accounted for approximately 50% of all revenue. Everything else combined accounted for the other 50%. This signals a major shift at Hasbro further into the gaming niche with less impact as strictly a toy company.
Magic: The Gathering was specifically mentioned by Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks as a driving force for their continued success. In 2025, Wizards of the Coast saw revenue grow by 45% but if you zoom in on just Magic: The Gathering, the figure rises to 59%. Hasbro is projecting even greater success in 2026 thanks to the 7 tentpole sets releasing this year. The first of these sets, Lorwyn Eclipsed, already became the fastest selling In-Universe set of all time.
Those numbers reflect 2025 as a whole, but in quarter 4, Wizards grew 86% to $630 million. These numbers reported by Hasbro CFO & COO Gina Goetter were credited primarily to the success of Magic: The Gathering’s Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Despite a great amount of negative online buzz surrounding Universes Beyond, the crossover brand of Magic: The Gathering is experiencing major success. 2025 ended with Avatar: The Last Airbender which is now the 3rd highest selling set of all time. First and second belong to Final Fantasy and Lord of the Rings respectively — also Universes Beyond sets. With continued Universes Beyond success and 4 UB sets planned this year, it doesn’t appear that it’s going anywhere soon.
Other growth indicators for Magic: The Gathering were a rise in organized play and WPN stores. Wizards Play Network now has more than 10,000 active stores. Additionally, these stores saw over a million unique players enter into organized play events like prerelease and draft. That is a player growth in organized play of 22%.
Players can look forward to upcoming Magic sets, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Secrets of Strixhaven, and Star Trek, as Magic’s momentum continues into 2026.
