Lorwyn Eclipsed is a few days away from being released on paper but as of today, MTG Arena players can access the set digitally. Along with new Brawl decks, Cragg and Squen digital sleeves, and a new Midweek Magic event schedule, Wizards also announced on Daily MTG that the first MTG Arena Direct of 2026 is coming.  This will allow Lorwyn Eclipsed to be the backdrop of players’ first opportunity of the year to win gems, packs, and other prizes.

Event Details

The Arena Direct will open on January 30th at 8:00am PST. New entries will close on February 2nd at 5:00am PST.  Later that morning at 8:00am PST, the event will end but matches in progress will be allowed to finish.  The Arena Direct will be Sealed Best-of-One using Lorwyn Eclipsed.  Each entry will cost 6,000 gems.

• 4 Wins — 5,400 gems & 16 MTG Arena Packs
• 5 Wins — 8,100 gems & 24 MTG Arena Packs
• 6 Wins — 10,800 gems & 32 MTG Arena Packs
• 7 Wins — Physical Collector Booster Box from Lorwyn Eclipsed

Winners will need to claim their prizes within 90 days of the end of the event.  An email will be provided to anyone who wins a Collector Booster Box to prove identity and place an order for shipping.  

It’s important to note that the Arena Direct is limited to people 18 years of age. An active Wizards account is necessary to register for the event. Further, there are limitations on what countries rewards can be shipped to or played from.  The Arena Direct FAQ has more details about the specific process for claiming prizes won during the event and country-specific information. Lorwyn Eclipsed is already available on MTG Arena in Premier, Traditional, and Sealed Drafts.
