Thanks for the replies even though its not done yet
I have a consecrated sphinx in there, but my alphabetical order was a little off, lol!
Personally I'm not to crazy about Fact or Fiction Sphinx since it costs a ton of mana and I don't need a flying beater in the least for this deck.
My lack of removal has been a problem, but thats just the nature of the colors that I am in. I am pretty confident that my deck can combo before most decks can get my life to zero though, so my plan has been to accelerate myself rather than hinder the opposition, outside of the occasional counter spell.
I am always looking to improve the deck though so i am open to all suggestions!
Please Excuse the appearance, I only have limited amounts of time to work on this each night, I realize this is not a complete thread yet, and I am doing my best to piece it together as fast as I can, Thanks!
Hello everyone and thanks for checking out my post. This is my first online thread and I just wanted to post and discuss my EDH deck. As a side not I would like to say I am a college student with little to no money so this deck was built on a budget, and is made mostly of cards I already owned. I realize I should run FoW, Mana Drain, duals, and other awesome cards, but they are simply out of my budget at this point. Besides, this deck has preformed very well so far and I am very happy with its power level (unlike my bitter friends :P)
As you know from the title, my commander is Momir Vig, Simic Visionary. I believe he has one of the strongest abilities and allows you to play two of the strongest EDH colors, blue and green. The way that this deck wins most of its games is through some form of infinite combo or by gaining insurmountable amounts of card advantage. Every once in a while the deck pulls off beatdown wins, but this is not its primary goal and does not happen very often, as it is easier to just use Vig to find two combo pieces and win.
As far as control is concerned, I play a few counters as is normal with any blue deck, but I also have an extensive toolbox of answers that is powered by Vig's tutoring ability. There are very few threats that I have seen and not had an answer for in my deck, and most of the time, finding that answer is as easy as casting a green creature with Vig in play.
Pros
Very fast and reliable
Awesome toolbox style deck
Loads of card advantage
Has smooth draws due to all the green and artifact mana
Cons
Little to no removal
You are a big threat and are targeted early
Deck is reliant on keeping Vig in play

I will add sections about why I chose certain cards and how the deck works in more detail later on!
