Ok, now its getting ridiculous, Ports are 250. Assuming this is a temporal upturn coinciding with the upcoming legacy events, we still have no hope for a significant price drop afterwards. Dont consider me as a dispirited alarmist but something should be done asap. A faint hope for a reprint in a commander set but my inner voice keeps telling me this is still a fat chance.
To be clear; I don't advocate a DD unban, I just considered the hypothetical "wanna shake the entire format" scenario that for sure would occur with a DD unban. It's a card that can boost a plethora of archetypes, create new ones, and can fit in a lot of decks. In that sense, because it's not restricted by colors and can fit into pretty much every shell, apart from (linear decks), some brewing would occur.
I imagine that the format would be severerly wrapped around it, but then again I don't think that, that's necessarily a bad thing. If archetype diversity is maintained, then different decks playing a two-three card "combo" is not really that much of a problem imo.
Again, it was only for entertaining purposes on the "shake the format scenario".
Eh, every broken card on the banlist can "shake the format". These just don't strike me as very interesting discussion topics because most of the cards don't just shake Modern. They also break it. I'd much rather we focus efforts on more interesting cards like AV or Sword, or the controversial (but nonetheless arguable) JTMS. Everything else just comes off like users don't understand why the cards are broken, or are deliberately trying to stir up ***** in the thread. I don't think most people are actually doing that, but it comes off that way in a lot of cases regardless of the potentially benign intentions.
Just to kick the discussion off :): in your opinion what are the chances AV gets unbanned? Couple posts ago you stated that Bloom got 60-40 favor to be banned, is it somewhat similar for AV in terms of unbanning?
Obviously we are all aware of whats going on with Rishadan Ports. Price is crazy but its a pretty common thing for MODO old rare cards, since thewe was only 1 print run and no flashback events for the last 3 years. To me the whole story reminds me of the one with Lion's eye Diamonds. It hit the ceiling of 190 before get reprented and dropped to 20. I wonder if we (mortals) have the right to expect any reprints of this fantastic card (or at least promo edition release) in the nearest future because, i will be sincere, paying 600 for a set is no bueno.

Also, when you guys think the prices will bounce back to "normal" level (not sure what it is but something like mox opals for 25 aprox, karn liberated for 20, bitterblossoms for 15, tarmogoys for 70, bobs for 15 etc). I am not particulalarly aware if they will be summer dead seaon in modern but i do want cards to regain its value at some point since i bought several sets of some cards and kinda want to get some profit
Why should MM2 cards drop? With the mm1 release back to 2013 we saw price spike after drafts came to the end. Not sure why anything different should happen this time.
So how long should we wait till prices go up again? The events should be running for about 2 more weeks and its not clear at which point the price fall gonna stop.
