WHO is still entering this format at these prices? :|
Let's be real here, basically no one is. This is completely unsustainable and Legacy is very very quickly heading to join Vintage.
That's not true at all, the format is growing more now than it ever has. This also happens to be why we are seeing the price increases. SCG attendance is evident of this, but at a local level its increasing too. Withing a 3hr drive radius, just in 2014 two stores starting doing regular Duel for 40 Dual events, which DEMAND an attendance of at least 150 people to even break even and at my LGS monthly 1k, every month there are about 3-5 people who are attending their first legacy tournament.
I think one thing that could help budget players a lot is getting friends to pool cards and/or just borrowing cards from legacy vets. I'd gladly lend out a set of duals/wastes/etc I am not using that day if it means another person is playing legacy.
Ok, so it's growing near you, but with a ever dwindling supply of cards, Legacy is in a bubble, it will pop, sooner than i bet any person is expecting. I'm glad my store does Proxy tournies (Next one if for a Tabernacle of Pendervale)
I really like Legacy but it's not going to stick around, it can't with these prices and a ever decreasing supply of must have cards.
Got a question. I have about $130 worth of points of pucatrade, which basically means i have $130 store credit i guess.
I want to grab some revised dual(s) with this, so i'm wondering which one or combinations i should get. Like 2-3 or the cheapest, 1 of the most expensive, a mid and a low price one etc.
This guy didn't deserve any kind of punishment. MTG players really really need to learn to take themselves less serious. It's a ******* card game for mostly kids.
No, how many kids do you see playing magic, especially at the GP level? They are a very small minority. Just because the wrapper says the game is for 13+ does not mean it is a game that is made for kids. Kids can play it just fine, but that is a very small part of the target audience.
Hahhahaahahahahh, GP, PTQ and whatever make up the vast, vast, VAST minority of magic players. But please do whatever mental gymnastic you needs to to convince yourself otherwise.
You seem like the exact type of neckbeard that would get defensive over this.

Man, I've been playing a proxied version of this deck, and it seems 90% of the time i'm just some black removal/reanimater deck. I can never get Tohsiro to really stick around.

Unless there is something I'm missing he shouldn't of been able to play lands, Azusa only works for Hunt on this.

Gonna proxy your list out and play a few games before I invest into. But looks like it might itch that monoblack edh bug i've had for awhile.
