Even though UB Control is supposed to prey on the green ramp decks, I feel kind of lost in this matchup. A few questions:
1.) In game 1, given knowledge that you are up against Wolf Run, do you tragic slip Birds of Paradise on sight? How about if you're in the dark (i.e. Forest -> Birds could be RG Aggro or Frites); do you still slip the birds?
2.) Should I use countermagic on the 4 drops (i.e. Solemn Simulacrum and Huntmaster of the Fells)? Personally, I like to leak the Simulacrums but let the Huntmaster resolve, and I save Dissipates for the titans.
3.) When sideboarding, do you ever keep Tragic Slip, Ratchet Bomb, or Black Sun's Zenith in the mainboard? Slip can kill Inkmoth Nexus, Ratchet Bomb can kill a flipped Huntmaster and his wolf buddy (or a flipped Garruk and his wolf buddy), and Black Sun's Zenith is kind of an answer to Thrun as well as Huntmaster, sad robot, and birds.
What happened to the forum posts about Space Cube? Have they been permanently deleted or have the administrators simply restricted access to the threads?
All of the links to the mtgsalvation thread about the Space: the Convergence cube don't function. I get an error saying that I don't have permission to view it? What happened? Is the project no longer public?
From this point onward, the STC project will be subject to all site proxy policies, and STC renders will be considered the same as MTG renders by the staff.
DO NOT:
Discuss or request the printing of STC cards.
Omit Artist credit or WotC Copyright on any STC renders.
Use any images outside the terms of Fair Use
As with the Make a Proxy Thread, for us to be able to continue to support this community, we need each of you to be vigilant within this thread and report any violations of this. I would hate for us to need to close discussion on this, but MTGS cannot entertain the liability that further violations would bring.
How about Bloodline Keeper? It seems like a steady stream of blockers is pretty sweet. It doesn't die to Victim of Night, Doom Blade, Liliana....hard to Mana Leak, too.
Also, I'm concerned about Curse of Death's Hold. It's not amazing against Phyrexian Crusader, and it's ineffective against Skithiryx and Lashwrithe, although I suppose if they're resolving 4 and 5 mana threats, you're probably not winning.
Currently having issues playing against MBI. I am playing without any Lilianas, which may explain my issues. However, even after sideboarding, I usually get thoroughly stomped.
A few questions:
How many doom blades do you side out?
Is ratchet bomb good against MBI?
How about ghost quarter?
How many counterspells should you play against MBI?
Also, I feel like Consecrated Sphinx is pretty sweet against them.
