Im an optimist when it comes to magic. I see good things in terrible cards. If the Golgari dont have a good number of self mill cards and some better examples of this new mechanic as sad as it makes me I may choose another guild. Green/Black is all about graveyard return,it's the two colors most concerned with returning things from the grave. And THIS....this remove cards from the grave, effectively making Jarad smaller (unless you stack counters on him,but he has enough aggro already) and getting rid of the card for good. Wtf wizards? I wanted Reclaim and I got a throw back to Grand Bone Pit from Planechase? Shenanigans, shenanigans I say!!
This was my initial reaction aswell but Losing +1/+1 on him to get +6/+6 on something with evasion, nothing to complain about there.
Token deck with an unblockable creature and Sublime archangel
Could combo in for a 1-2 round kill.
But then again there are better uses of token decks.
This deck is made up entierly out of M13 cards because im expecting new Izzet cards to fill the last slots once RtR rolls around.
Its currently a 40 card deck and I just want to make a solid foundation.
If you can recommend any Innistrad cards that will fit in that would be excellent!
Currently a 40 Card deck will be upgraded to a 60 card deck with RtR Cards from Izzet!
Splash into black for some more control cards and some proper destruction. doom bladeduress spring to mind amongst other cards.
You could also probably find some faster finishers than Leviathan there
It would indeed make his guys harder to block but then again as previously mentioned there are many good 3 mana Cmc's for Human.
Since he's running Pilgrims and may look to keep a hand thats: forest, pilgrim, plains, whatever to increase his speed.
Running a double green 3 drop might halt him in his tracks?
Not saying your idea is bad in any way just wondering if its right for the mana curve in this particular deck.
Hello,
Ive been trying my way with Green white for a while too now.
T1 Champion T2 Gather the townsfolk is a neat interaction.
I also find Hamlet captain better than Accorder Paladin since +1/+1 is significantly more important early game than +1/+0
You might also have some luck with Butcher's Cleaver Its kept me alive alot.
I also felt like this deck lacks protection from removal.
While not perfect Ranger's Guile atleast made it to my sideboard but has yet to be tested.
Currently im running a Gavony township /w flying spirit tokens version of G/W.
My decklist is nothing to copy but it is a different spin on the same type of deck.
Blade Splicer might help your early game out.
You have the potential to get it out on round two, and for another few months you can run Rampant Growth to help ramp up to 4-5cmc cards even faster.
Now you cross your fingers and hope someone better than me drops by and help you with the difficult stuff!
Ravnica was so much fun due to the guilds and their personalities.
We get those and if I get a reprint of Wee dragonauts ill be smiling from ear to ear.
Disciple of Griselbrand + The crab makes a whole lot of sense to me in a slow B/U Deck.
Its a great card and really deals well with burn decks since you cant even blow him up with a morbid Brimstone Volley.
Thats a solid blocker if i ever saw one.
You know... Because it wont be very saught after except for filling out binders...
Oh gods the cruel irony of the Tormod's Crypt reprint.
I used to main a U/G deck like this and then this came...
This was my initial reaction aswell but Losing +1/+1 on him to get +6/+6 on something with evasion, nothing to complain about there.
