I may suggest removing Survival of the Fittest. Since you only have 16 creatures, will you really have enough to pitch one to search for another? Eladamri's Call would be better I think.
Also, Luminarch Ascension draws a lot of hate, plus, you don't really have a wall of blockers or pillow fort to ensure it reaches it's full potential. I would swap this out for Unquestioned Authority or Spirit Mantle. Giving Uril protection from creatures is key.
Good luck... always good to see another Uril player!
Any thoughts on Silence the Believers? I like having a couple single target kill spells, because many of chainer's most powerful answers to problem cards happen at sorcery speed. Currently, I'm running a Hero's Downfall, but a scaling answer with exile sounds nice.
I will be adding it to my Chainer build. It is the only unconditional, instant speed exile available to mono black. ,
Hi all... just curious if any of you will be including Journey Into Nyx Cards? In particular, what are your thoughts on Agent of Erebos? I thought about including him in my Chainer build, but fear Bribery or Clone effects will turn this dude against me.
Not to derail the current discussion, but how do yall feel about Iroas, god of victory? I feel like maybe it's a win more card, but the ability to nullify blocks to kaalia, and make our beaters harder to answer with chumps, seems relevant
I will be giving Iroas, God of Victory a try in my Kaalia deck. For a lot of the same reasons you mentioned here. He will be replacing Magus of the Moat in my Sunforger build.
I don't like Iroas in Kaalia. As a 4 drop, it's competing with Kaalia, who I always want to be dropping at 4 if I can.
While it is ideal to have Kaalia out at the 4 drop... Sometimes I find it best to be wait a turn or two if the blue Mage has 1UU available. In his situation, Casting a threat like Iroas to bait a counterspell may be in order
Also, Iroas coming down the turn after Kaalia comes into play is just as effective. I'm looking forward to giving the Boros deity a try.
Agree with you, there is not much in NYX (or the entire Theros block for that matter) that make me want to update Uril.
I was a bit hesitant with Eidolon of Blossoms at 4 mana too... But still gonna give it a trial run. I will be replacing Auramancer for the time being. My Uril deck is NOT an enchantress build, but a second Argothian Enchantress effect may just be the extra draw power we need.
I am going to try Ajani, Mentor of Heroes in my Sigarda Enchantress deck. If he performs better than expectations, then I may try him in Uril. Would be a shoe-in at 4 mana, but at 5 mana, I am moving on with my Voltron game plan.
Iroas, God of Victory. Didn't even cross my mind. Agree with you, I would rather have Madcap Skills. Besides, with most of my auras already offering evasion, Iroas just seems out of place.
Mana Confluence is strong for any 3 color deck, so I may add this too.
I use the Ring of Three Wishes in my Hanna, Ship's Navigator deck after I have set up a Pillow Fort. I also use it in my Purphoros deck, simply because I need to be able to find Purphoros if he gets tucked, find a game winning card, or find a solution to a problem.
Mono Blue > Mono Red. In most cases. However, there are exceptions... Krenko, Kiki Jiki, Purphoros, etc.
Speaking of Purphoros, God of the Forge, I'll toss in another vote for him. I've had some success with my Purphoros deck in competitive atmospheres already... As long as the whole table isn't dripping with Blue or playing Archenemy, I am usually okay.
Enchantment removal. karn liberated, Spine of Ish Sah, hmmm.
I will have to agree with most of the replies in this thread. Krond definitely gives you style points, but Uril is extremely more powerful. I would pick Uril over Krond, however, the amount of hate he will draw may cause a loss of fun. Since you stated your meta is super casual, you may want to try Krond first. Uril may be just too much for the rest of the group.
I will cast another vote for Righteous Aura. Then there is always Nevermore and Meddling Mage post-wrath, to keep them from being casted again. Oh, and Glaring Spotlight + Treachery if you want to get real crazy in Oloro, but that may be deviating from the plan of your deck.

Mirri, Cat Warrior? Ah, nostalgic. Would love to see this deck list if you have a link?
Anyway... I haven't played her yet but I am looking forward to Nylea in Sigarda Voltron Enchantress as well.

My two nickels worth!
Great card, in the right deck of course.

In Purphoros, I also use Chaos Warp, Nevinyrral's Disk and Eye of Doom for Enchantment Removal.
