    I think so.

I am up 3-0 in games with you.

I'm God Child, for anyone that cares.

Unvote, I'm gonna have to guess Puzzle on gut instinct.

Nope. I don't think anyone will guess who I am, because I mainly play on MtGNews, but I think it was possible to work out who I was: My sig image was hosted on the same photobucket account as the image in my main account.

Edit: I'd like to hope puzzle knows who I am. Wink

    Anyone guess who I was?

I guessed Morris was billking because he stopped posting around the same time he posted "Hi Mom" and had all that drunkenness. Also, the rahal avatar.

I was the back-up cop, so I didn't really mind if Morris died. I sent a PM to unsan inspected Heywood Youblowme.

Is the town allowed to concede? This is pretty pointless. All we can do is fire blindly into a crowd of lurkers, and hope that we randomly hit someone.

Well, we can always get ourselves modkilled by posting at night, but you raise a good point. Its essentially all random now, and I'd feel no gret loss if we conceded, or if the game was called off.

Well, since it appears that only myslef, stevie and DiFranco are actually contributing with regularity, I guess I'll follow your lead, and unvote, vote: Mr Maestro. I feel scummy doing this, but I still think it has to be done.

EBWODP: Having reviewed the post participation in the last few days, there is little difference between maetro and batman's participation. I've given up hope of getting this game back on track, so I guess I'm happy with either lynch, as long as we keep things moving.

I agree, but I differ on our target. Batman's reactions seem more honest to me than Maestro's, and he's been more of a presence in the thread. Maestro is probably the worst of the lurkers we have left, and since he's failed to reply to my argument yet: unvote, vote: Mr. Maestro.

No response to my post? I take this to assume I've explained myself to your satisfaction?

I really don't know who to lynch today, I'm afraid. In my eyes, Batman started looking somewhat suspicious earlier on, and Maestro has been posting more, so I'd prefer to lynch batman.

Huh? He wanted us to vote no lynch and race the mafia with investigations, because he had an aggressive voting strategy?

He believed that lynching Batman was necessary for the survival of the game, because he likes a fast pace?

He thought that lynching imhungry was a win-win situation for the town, (when clearly the town can use every townie we can get, especially now) simply because he likes to vote for people?

The first one has nothing to do with aggressive votes at all. It's exactly the opposite. And the next two are simply bad justifications for aggressive voting, they aren't symptoms of it. If he was simply an aggressive player, he could have gone after them by using better reasons, however, he chose to use scummy ones because of the lack of conclusive evidence against those players.

The no lynch plan and the lynch Batman statement were not mutually exclusive, both would encourage a faster paced game, and hopefully reignite some interest in this game. Even if the no lynch plan was crazy, and the batman lynch unjustified, I'm still getting people talking, and both ideas do have some merit.

As for imhungry, I believe I've already explained how I lost patience with him and the slow pace of the game. The fact remains that we were going to lynch someone that day, and lynching imhungry minimised our losses. It wasn't so much that it was a win-win situation, it was more that, if I had to lose one townie, I'd choose imhungry.

The simple fact is that with such a low post count, there is very little evidence to use when forming our lynches. Due to the inspection hit night one, and the subsequent lynch, on day 2 we had no valid lynch on day 1 to base our arguments on. The imhungry lynch was effectively an extension of day 1, as he would have been lynched anyway. The fact that multiple players have been mod-killed means that even though we've only got a couple of days of evidence to base our votes on, there are as many dead players as we'd usually have after twice as many days.

On top of that, what little evidence that can be found is naturally going to be incriminmated the higher posters, who are actually making posts that can be analysed. Until we do something to start this game going again, the only semi-informed lynches we can make will be against the remaining high posters.

    Wow, thanks for that Stevie.

If Unvote is scum, he's done a good job of not slipping up. However, after looking through his posts, I was suprised by the lack of actual content. I'd like to here a defense from him.

I have a thought about duberz. If we do end up lynching Batman, and he turns up town, the advantage is that it would help in clearing duberz. Well, at least it would prove that he wasn't trying to save a fellow scum. I'm not saying we should lynch Batman on that premise, but it is something to consider.

I hate this. We're shooting in the dark. The lack of set-up leaves us with very little chances of catching scum in lies. Furthermore, with the lack of participation, we're sure to have scum hiding . Unvote, Batman, duberz, Mr. Maestro, and anyone else who gets a finger pointed at them: for the sake of the game, please defend yourself so we have something to analyze.

Okay then, I suppose I can post a defense, although the only thing against me seems to be that I've not posted much "content," and that I've been pushing for lynches.

First of all, if everyone posted in the same way that I did, then this game wouldn't be dying for lack of participation. I may not have contributed anything amazing, but I've chipped in here and there, and kept up with the game. I'd suggest that this is an adequate level of participation, and I'd be dissappointed if I was lynched because of this. I was playing in 2 other mafia games recently, Historical and Mao mafias, both on news, but I've died in those games, so I've no longer got any excuse for not devoting full attention to the game, although I've got my exams in a couple of months. In addition, it is understandably hard for me to post with a high level of content when there are so few other people posting. Its unfortunate, but true.

As for my agressiveness in terms of lynching, I stil feel that it is the best way to actually get more content going in this game. I'd rather lose to the mafia in fast paced game than have the game called off. Others may feel that defeat is not acceptable under any circumstances, and that our lynches shouldn't be comprimised by the lurking, but I don't. As for imhungry, and sorry to admit that I just lost patience. The posters were already droppping off, imhungry was getting on my nerves, and I wanted to actually play a game. A bad play on my part that reflected increasing boredom.

Really, I'm not sure who to lynch today. Seeing as how we need just about everyone who is actually posting to agree in order to get a lynch, I can't see a lynch being quick.

    i disagree

Wtf? If you don't want to play anymore, PM Unsan and ask to be replaced. Don't delierately get yourself lynched, and take even mroe of the fun out of this already boring game. That's just ****ing inconsiderate.

Of the remaining players, Batman looks bad, but I think Amnesiac would look equally bad if he were alive day one. I'd be relatively happy with either of them. I still get a vibe from Heywood, but it's really nothing more then that, and not at all enough to go on for a lynch. WOLG also sometimes looks a little too much like he's trying to look townie, although I also get the feeling he's a newb.

I don't think mass claiming would do much, as most of the mafia would just claim basic townie, and most of our townie's seem to be just that. It seems to me that trying to race the mafia was what lost LotR and Dollar for the town. (could be wrong there, I didn't follow those games very closely)

I didn't play in Dollar, but the reason LotR was lost was that an attempt was made to race the mafioso when the town already had the time advantage, combined with the fact that the SK and the remaining mafia member seemed to be able to compliment each other with their night kills. I don't think this situation is parable to LotR, and I don't think racing is appropriate unless we've got our backs to the wall.

As for amnesiac, I'm not sure. The main difference I see between him and batman, as far as I can see, is that amnesiac has shown no signs of intelligance, whereas Batman seemed to be able to make decent contributions, but they seemed somewhat contrary to the town's goal.

Ah, but I'm still tempted to roleclaim anyway. Nonetheless, I shall resist the urge.

In all seriousness, it is going to be hard to get the required information to be certain about our lynch, normally with this many players dead, we'd have another day or 2 of voting and posting to analyse, and so our opinions could be formed better. Still, Batman recieved attention early on for actions that seemed odd, and I've had considerable success in recent games finding mafia members based purely apon single posts that seem un-townie like. Namely, Batman's. I think that for this game to survive, we have to lynch him.

I'll start posting more when people do relevant things. I still check the thread there is just nothing to say about it.

    Vote: Batman

If everyone had the same attituce as you, then nobody would ever post. As such, your attitufe is unacceptable, and frankly, unbelievable. You checked the thread, but didn't even bother to chime in when we were all whining about the lack of content? I don't think so, yet why would you lie?

    I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY.

I've been overwhelmed with busy the last few days. Tests, 4 AP classes, way too much work and birthday and socializing.

Anyone who doesn't post within 48 hours gets modkilled. Anyone else agree?

    Vote count coming soon.

Well... if nobody posts in the next 48 hours posts who hasn't already posted in the previous 48, there will be alot of dead people. If that happens, the game might just have to be called off. Frown

This thread is too low, and posting is lax. A *bump* is in order. Even though technically its against forum rules, we need to get people posting again, and this is just about the only thing I myself can do. So, I'll do it, and hope the mods have some sympathy for a mafia game thats not working.
