Can someone explain to me how Dack Fayden is on every single plane we move through in printed sets and not relevant to the actual storyline that unfolds in the block?

Seriously, this card actually angers me in its terrible design. It doesn't help that the removal, overall, is pretty lacking in this set, but this card screams all kinds of WTF.
Point 1. Why have minus to power? The most common use of this card will be to target a creature who just dealt combat damage, meaning its only effective stat is the -5 toughness. The card could have read -0/-5 and effectively played the same way.
Point 2. Avenging Arrow is in most every case a better card and was just printed in the previous set, why touch on this design space again in such an inelegant way?
Point 3. Why not make this an actual removal spell by nixing the damage requirement. -5/-5 for 2 might be too strong, but we've had Last Gasp before at 1B, so why not give WB an unconditional -4/-4? Could have even seen competitive play as a solid common on par with terminate.
I don't rant about cards often but this one just frustrated me in all the right ways, especially when we're in need of better removal anyways. The design is terrible in idea and even worse so in practice.
Your argument is very narrow.
You have to realize that when they design a set like Gatecrash they say "Ok, White Blue Black Red & Green should have X amount of removal and each guild should have Y amount of removal" based on the colour/guild
Orzhovs common removal had to be WB which gives us Executioner's Swing and white removal at common needs conditions like "the creature must be blocked" or "have dealt damage this turn" as you pointed out with Avenging Arrow. It's not that they wanted to touch on the design space but the colour pie and it's limitations required it.
At this point we should just remove lands from the game & add three 0s to the end of power & toughness. Also let's making coin flipping more relevant to winning the game. Let's just completely remove counters from the game and make everything idiot proof
Just figured it out, for some reason you need DirectX 9 installed on Windows 8 to not crash MTGO on startup. The file is included in MTGO to extract and install
Go to C:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online\
Extract directx_dec2005_redist to an empty folder (on your desktop for example) and Run the Direct.exe to install and it should work
Just got a Macbook Air, Installed Parallels 8 and Installed MTGO and during installation it prompted me to download and install the .NET Frameworks I did update the MTGO software click launch and it crashes, there's a "Windows Problem Reporting" window that I can't see but has an icon on the dock.
Is this a .NET issue? Does anyone know of a remedy?
Does anyone know thee availability on this product? The major store in my area says they're lucky to be getting 4 as other LGS are getting 2 and have decided to just raffle them off to avoid conflict.
As I'm sure everyone has seen, there is tons of new art on the PWP website from RTR due to the Guild Achievements etc. The achievement for Ravnica Visitor has the art for a Mox that appears to be new as far as I can tell and has the background of Ravnica which leads me to believe it most certainly willl be in the block.
+1 for this guy taking up the hole left by MTGMom's departure
