    My friend is selling his Spike Bros. deck to me... once I have money, because it "hated" him and never drew what he wanted... Okay, the superstition works for me too Grin It has 4 Marilyns and at least two Emperors and a bunch of other stuff. I'm kind of excited. Getting tired of paladins and knights and stuff. Time for some unnecessary roughness.

    I know. From what I can tell, popular clans' perfect guards are 20-25 dollars a piece, while unsupported clans tend to hover around 10 dollars. So 40 dollars or 100 dollars... is a big difference for obtaining a playset, which mandatory in competitive play.

    Got into this game recently, I run Gold and Royal because back when I didn't know wtf I was doing, I got stuck with these two clans in terms of cardbase. I do enjoy them so there is nothing wrong with it... except for the fact that Perfect Guards are pretty much perfectly ruining my bank account. I'm so excited about this game that I made a blog for it lol. Don't know how long this will last <_<

    Also, this needs to be visited and read by all fighters. It is a indispensable Cardfight Resource and Strategy site that has articles that really elucidated on just how complex and fun this game can be.

    Anyone caught up on the show?

    I am pretty good at(pretty lucky at) pulling rare lands. Before I knew wtf I was doing in Magic, i.e. when I first started, I pulled Drowned Catacomb and Isolated Chapel, both foil, from one of my few packs that I've opened. I was all meh about it, then I showed it to one of my Magic veteran friends and they got all jealous and I got all confused. I took a break, like 3 sets worth and the first few cards I pulled from RTR were Hallowed Fountains. I also pulled a Sacred Foundary today from an impulse pack I bought.

    I think that card is more than pushed... now that I got the definition down. 1 Hybrid mana for a 2/1 is already crazy for a uncommon. It makes it hard to evaluate the extra ability tacked on that makes it even more useful.

    I start a turn with a Forest, a Temple Garden and an Arbor Elf. I draw Entreat the Angels on my draw step. Can I tap for G and W from my lands, then activate Arbor Elf's untap forest ability to untap the Temple Garden and pay the remaining W to cast Entreat?
    Entreat, from what I know, must be cast instantly after you draw it and reveal it if you want to cast it for its miracle cost. Since the elf's ability isn't a mana ability, I'm a little confused.

    Well it was worth a shot. Augur prevents me from drawing miracles early, but it doesn't allow me to draw miracles at the right time, which is at least something. I'll just have to not focus primarily on miracle in my deck I guess.

    I loved that card. Is there anything that has similar effects for a cheap cost in Standard at the moment? Ponder, Preordain, etc.? All I can think of right now is Index, and that card kinda, sucks. This is mainly for miracle, though I've heard miracle is not very strong in Standard, so I'm guessing the chances of something similar to Ponder is diminished.
