@System_X:
I hope you're just joking on this. Planeshifted cards have that frame and white text, confirmed by other planeshifted card.
Obvious proofs (shouldn't even have to post this):
*Follows the trend of previously seen planeshifted cards (the new frame, same effect as another card, etc.
*It appears in the orb
And last but not least
*It comes from MTG.com and today's not April 4th.

People are taking this way out of proportion. Nobody will play 8 wraths, since people didn't play 8 char either. Perfect example, same situation.
This is so disappointing. This is the kind of decision that makes Yu-Gi-Oh such a terrible game. They release a new set that completely smokes past sets making old cards useless. It's really too bad and it shows such a lack of creativity on their part.
You're basically gonna have to get 4 of these to have a competitive deck w/ black in it. IMO, that's a sign of poor development.
And in the current standard you have to get 4 or more duals to make a competitive deck with any combination of colors. Is that poor development as well?
People are overreacting. It's not gonna warp standard, it'll just allow some old archetypes to come back.
Ok. At first i thought it was a joke... But it's real... Wait till i change my pants.
*changes pants*
OK... Apparently, MBC is on its way to come back. Or at least i hope so, and have been hoping on it since after ravnica. Still all the set to see, but this alone has made the chances go up 50%.
Wow. Just Wow...
It's just so exciting... Those cards, if real, have to possibility of being really good, and a series of black cards like this will bring... YES! MBC!
Interesting . I once did a deck with the mizzet-curiosity combo, for extended tho, and took more of a reanimator approach, using goryo's vengance and draw/discard spells, dimir doppelganger and phage for an alternate win with doppelganger. That deck wasn't exactly what you call tier 1, but it had it's moments, winning fairly quick some times.
How has playtest been going with your current deck?
I went to the Prophecy prerelease, where I saw a kid there open a pack of 15 foil Tangle Wires.
I'm pretty sure he didn't send it back.
Yeah, and then he proceeded to cry because he had to pass them :p.
Seriously, i've gotten packs with 1 less common or stuff like that, but unless you don't get your rare, there is not much to worry about...
@knightfall
Not bad, kinda good, but here's some critics..
Why no funeral charm? It's a very versatile card, with disruption, creature destruction (or pump if you need it) and evasion, pretty good if you ask me.
Also, why do you need the coldsteel heart for? Your curve is kinda clunky at 2, with 4 last gasps and 4 cruel edicts.. You could add sudden death to fill that jump from 2 to 4 cmc with only 4 cards in the 3 slot.
Great post Effeetsnob! Were you the one that opened the thread ranting about black's current low power?.
Anyhoo, the idea of splashing red seems interesting. Sudden Spoiling + Pyroclasm is always tempting to play.
What i'm doubtful about is the need for 6 red mana sources for 3 red costs. It may not play so well with cards like consume spirit or the overseer.
I'd have to disagree. Ancestral gives you 3 cards on turn 4 for free. Tidings gives you 4 cards on turn 5, is more vulnerable to counters (you're tapped out), and costs you a turn (you're tapped out).
Yes, that's supposing that you suspend the Visions on turn one, but if you drew it turn three... It would be worse.
I'm all around it baby .
I've been waiting for MBC to make a remarkable comeback, and this is the best set to do it. We still have to see some more black cards before jumping into the decklist, since it's very possible that we'll see some more juicy removal spells...
But, then again... I want it now!
EDIT: What about the Phyrexian Totem? That seems solid enough...
Random counter PP
Insant
Flip a coin. If you win the flip, counter target spell. Otherwise, counter the next spell you play.
As well as having spells that affect no one in particular (hard to make a difference from symetrical effects tho)
Combat madness 3P
Enchantment
Attacking creatures are only tapped each 2 turns [not a good wording, but you get the point]
or
Combat drowsiness 3P
Whenever a creature blocks, it gets tapped.
I don't know. I kinda like the idea... I might be biased because i love random stuff...
EDIT: Oh and also adapting some seemingly useless mechanics from the past, like graveyard order and that stuff.
There should be some sort of spin-off to this one tho... Not the same abilities than morphling, but maybe changing flying to haste?

Channel's a sorcery
Still, pretty fun combos right there!
I think that doesn't work, since hivestone says "creatures you control", and once you give him all your creatures, they wouldn't be slivers anymore...
Yeah, and then he proceeded to cry because he had to pass them :p.

Other than that, great!

Anyways, great find! I'm guessing in the same lines as you all are, some sort of black Serra's Embrace with the Fallen Angel ability...
