I have been working on a B/W ally deck with a couple of twists. I am making it for my son to play, hoping that he will learn a little bit about synergy. I would appreciate your suggestions and advice.
Buddy of mine and I decided to split a box of DKA. We almost always get together on Sunday nights to play some casual games, but since the box arrived on Saturday, he asked if I minded if he opened his half of the box. I trust the guy, he said he was just going to take the top half of the box. I said, sure, whatever, just bring me my half tomorrow, and I will open them then. Last night, he came over, showed me what he had pulled. 3 Mythics, some other cool stuff. The only card he was really hoping for was a Sorin. Said he was going to be pissed if I got one. We lold over it, and I cracked my first pack. Thumbed through the commons, read the uncommons, hit the rare: Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. He was like, " Damn you!" shook his fist at me and we laughed. Token card, dual backed marker card, and BAM! Foil Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. We dropped jaw and gaped. I have never gotten two mythics in a pack before. Nice guy that I am, I gave him the regular. But still, it was epic. At tleast to us.
Lots of creatures, but hidden inside this baby is infinite creatures, life, and mana. I also believe that it can be done without the oldschool duals. It is almost always a blast.
A player had cast Oblivion Ring on my Stormblood Berserker.
That Player was then taken out of the game.
My understand was that my beserker would come back from exile, but one of the players said since the controller of Oblivion Ring was no longer in the game, the card coming back would never trigger. is this how that would work?
It wasn't a pull or anything, but I was at a flea market today and a booth had a old box of MTG cards. Bought the lot for 5 bucks, got 3x Force of Will. Now, I just need to get rid of them, lol.
Today, I spent about 100 bucks on boosters, the first money I have spent on MTG in almost 10 years. I bought a variety of Innistrad and Core set boosters, plus one Alliance booster. Since I am just getting back into the game, I was hoping for some info about what the hot cards are? What should I be hoping to pull for trade bait or to go right back to the game store for more boosters? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Now I just have to wait to get off work so I can go home and open them, since I made my self wait.

Example:
Can I use my Goblin Grenade from Fallen Empires, or my Sunpetal Grove from M11, or is this illegal?
Please explain to me how everyone should draw and use the box. And for some reason, I can not get the link for the puzzle box to work.
