I won't argue with the results, but I don't like the Flayers in his list. I don't see a reliable way to enable Delirium, and looks like more often than not is a 2/2 with trample. For reference, I'm playing Abzan traverse and Flayer feels like that without Delirium.
Then again, it wasn't me who made it to the top8 of a GP.
tasigur too is great as a 1-off when you need to traverse for an early blocker.
If you can Traverse for a Tasigur it means you already have delirium. You can instead Traverse for a Tarmogoyf that will be at least a 4/5 as well, with room to grow, and won't shrink your graveyard in the process. I really, really like Tasigur, just not in the Traverse shell.
With the decks you listed, i really dont think you should play anger NOR Jace main deck... the rest of the list seems fine to me ! If you dont like that version, you could try Gods_Shadow version (look him up on YouTube). I personnaly would never cut serum vision from any blue deck I play... never again. Thought scour is so underwhelming compared to serum, even with the access to tasigur.
Thanks, appreciate it!
I've been looking at different lists these past few days. Once I get a hold on the Tarns I will sleeve it up and give it a go.
Hi there, I'm considering buying into Grixis Control and I was wondering what would be an appropriate list for my LGS meta: there are NO Hollow One, KCI, Bridgevine lists, we have a not-so-regular Human player and the rest is more or less one of each.
Does it make a difference on the list or should I take whatever Corey is playing and build from there? Thanks!
Are you saying there are no graveyard aggro decks or just no hollow one of that group? If so I'd recommend my list minus the angers for something of your choice that works against what you're more concerned with. Something like extra permission or more walkers or extra cantrips. Here's my list, I wrote about it on the previous page a bit.
There are aggro/graveyard decks around, just no Hollow One, KCI, Bridgevine, and all that listed before. We have one Dredge player occasionally, two Mardu Pyro players, but mostly is Jeskai, Burn, Affinity, UW Control, Tron variations and such.
I will read your comments and take your list as a template. Thanks!

It has an interesting approach, I may sleeve it up and give it a go. Not sure about some numbers/choices, but I think it has potential for taking down an FNM.
I haven't tested with it yet but at first glance, I'd say that it has the same effective cost as Reclamation Sage (it can come down one turn earlier but still require a grand total of 3 mana for blowing something), with a bigger body (2 toughness) and has Exalted. The downside is that it requires a white mana to cast.

Interesting sideboard card... could even work as a single one-of for Traverse lists.
But I'm not the one with good results, so she probably is right.
If I have to guess, I would say that his list was heavily influenced and toned for the Team Unified GP last weekend.
