Do any of you actually remember old extended? The one and I do mean the only reason anyone ever played it was because it was a good entry point to the Pro Tour. It was horrid, why would WOTC want to resurrect such a despised format?

What they really have to do is make Modern Masters a yearly thing. It is just ridiculous that modern has to wait two years before any new supply of staples happen. They can produce ten commander pre cons by the time they get one set for the modern players.

posted a message on Do not preorder Kaladesh singles
Just a friendly note - order what you want to play the first couple of weeks of standard, but watch prices fall off precipitously as people rip open cases to get 1 or 2 expeditions. I've only pre-ordered some fast lands and made a couple of specs - I already regret those. They will not pay off, at least not in any meaningful way.

Boohoo the little baby is unhappy because his attempts at becoming a share trader failed. Get over yourself pal, speccing on pre-orders has simply never paid off. The prices for cards have always been at its highest on release. It is not WOTC fault you bought into the baloney train.

WOTC is not really concerned with what you pay for singles. They concern themselves with the amount of sealed product opened. You can bet this will do the same for their profits as the expeditions of Zendikar did.

Moaners act like cheap singles is a bad thing

The art of the golgari one is simply breathtaking and reminds me a bit of the original Bitterblossom art. Foils should be amazing to own.

Buy as many of these while they are drafted, stick them in a file, seal file in a closet, wait 5 years, PROFIT!

Just when I was sure I was never going to play standard again you lure me back with your madness. Then you even go and reprint Catalog There is even three months where you can play Artificer's Epiphany with it. You give me the madness unsummon and you even give me lightning axe.

So thank you for bringing what looks like a promising tempo deck to standard. Madness pauper decks where always my favourite and now I get to play something similar in standard. Congrats you made a true believer out of me.

I cannot see how either drawing extra cards or dealing extra damage is not something a red mage would not want to do.

I need some of those basics in foil. Especially that colourful island.

posted a message on These sets worth stashing?
2011 core set for 60 bucks does not sound so bad. It has Serra Ascendant and Steel Overseer sitting at 20 bucks. You would really only need one each of those rares to get real close to breaking even. Baneslayer Angel will also get you 10 bucks. Some of the walker sitting at around 10 bucks. birds of Paradise also sitting at around 8 bucks. Captivating Vampire also a 10 dollar cards.

You won't get rich of it but there is reasonable value. m2011 also with m2012 was for me the best of the modern core sets to draft. So if you get a box you can draft have 12 packs for prizes and only have to ask 8 bucks each for the draft

    "But Trump is racist!!"
No. He's not politically correct and refuses to ever apologize for anything non-PC he might do or say, because he knows what happens when you start giving in. But that's all.
Trump is by the way officially endorsed by many minority figures, by the National Black Republican Association, and defended by the leader of Nation of Islam himself. And he polls quite well among minorities too.

Quote from "Neil Gaiman, a couple of years back »
I was reading a book (about interjections, oddly enough) yesterday which included the phrase “In these days of political correctness…” talking about no longer making jokes that denigrated people for their culture or for the colour of their skin. And I thought, “That’s not actually anything to do with ‘political correctness’. That’s just treating other people with respect.”

Which made me oddly happy. I started imagining a world in which we replaced the phrase “politically correct” wherever we could with “treating other people with respect”, and it made me smile.

You should try it. It’s peculiarly enlightening.

He wants to lower taxes for the poor and end all loopholes for the rich and the multi-national corporations. He was the first to talk about corporate inversion, etc.

Per the Tax Policy Center, Trump's plan would cut taxes for middle-income households by 4.9% on average, but by almost 19% for the top 0.1%. Good job on those loopholes. By income quintile, from lowest to highest, the tax cuts would be: 1%, 3.1%, 4.9%, 5.8% and 9.7% (with the top 1% getting a 17.5% tax cut). Just to recap, that's a 1% cut for the poorest, and a 17.5% cut for the top 1%. While he's technically lowering taxes for the poor, he's not lowering them by very much compared to how much he's lowering them for the rich.

His plan would also add 11.2 trillion to the national debt by 2026.

I think you are being disingenuous with these claims. One to six percent tax breaks among the working classes is an absolutely HUGE tax break. You are basically giving 30 - 50 percent of the population something like 300 - 500 dollars a year in money they do not have to pay for tax.

Really if you want to do the math please come back to this thread but even just one percent less tax for the lower income tax brackets is still a MMAAUSIVE tax break.

I think that if he is elected his government is going to have to realise that they are going to have a lot less money to spend. All of this notwithstanding he still wants to give most Americans a tax break. Something which is probably not going to make his job if elected easier.

This does not strike me as something as big of an ******** as liberals make him out to be would do.

That thing combos well with Vampire Hexmage add a free instant spell like gut shot and you are good to go.

Even without all the shenanigans I may just try it out in a delver list. Yes you scof but it ends games pretty quick. Probably better than ol' Augur of bolas

posted a message on the new battle lands/tango lands
It is worth noting that they are still fab in EDH where getting duals with your Farseek is great. A lot of green ramp cards let you search out duals with basic land types and this may very well be the best budget duals that let you do that.

These duals are definatetly going up when BFZ stops being drafted. Not much probably but still a bit.

    Quote from SpeedGrapher »
The Battle for Zendikar lands really have no place in modern. They are just going to be standard lands. Their price can go up but not too much. Your are looking at a top price of $8-9 per land and that's really it. That's only for the best lands in the best decks while they are in standard. Or the prices can just keep being low since this block is being opened like crazy for expedition lands. Once they rotate they will be $1-$2 lands. Their value will be more heavily determined by the lands printed in Shadows over innistrad than anything else. If the innistrad lands are better these may fall out of use. I do feel that the set has just been opened way too much for prices to go up.

There is no way duals with basic land types will go for a dollar. That is even less than what pain lands went for and these are a class above them.

Modern is not the only format.
