The Deathbringer Thoctar starts fitting the bill almost immediately in a deck with any significant amount of removal(you know, red and black and all). A few things ie and wow, when did that thing become a 10/10?
I think Serra Angel use to be a lot better than it is now. The last handful of expansions have brought so many low cost/high power white creatures it's hard for a mere 4/4 flying to compete with a 5 cost. Hell, the Baneslayer Angel is down to, like 6 bucks where I play, so there's hardly any reason to field anything else flying for 5 now.
I must respectfully disagree with CorwinofAmber's disdain for Brave the Elements. I've used that card to clear the way for a lot of very effective combat phases, and equally often to just save the lives of my tiny blocking creatures.
That being said, if you're fielding any Gideon's Lawkeeper, presumably to tap irritations, the addition of a Gideon's Avenger might be worth considering, if for no other reason than to reap counters when they attack and you Brave the Elements.
I hear all the competitive arguments for why Sorin Markov sucks, but I don't get why no one likes him. Casual has so much old school black mana ramp that his high cost doesn't really seem to be an issue, yet no one likes him. Am I missing something here?
I feel your pain, man. Every FNM I go to, one clown show has a never ending line of commentary about one of my decks. Useful hints? Sure, all day long. Endless chatter about how HIS deck is so much better, and how much better HE is at building decks? Dude, go get hit by a bunch of cars.
Some very useful suggestions. And yes, Sha, I've been back into the game for a year or so, but have very little time/money for play. Hence my posting so you guys could hack my deck apart. That replacement for the Indomitable Archangel is a useful tip as well. Looks like I've got some buying to do. Thanks!
Parallel lives has a place in any green token deck. You just can't argue with doubling token production. Especially if you're running Soul Wardens. Double the creatures AND life gain? Yes, please.
I'm still not sure why people like Vampire Lacerators so much. Gul Draz vampires always made more sense to me. I do have a special hatred for cards that damage me, but I don't buy their utility. I feel like ANY one cost vampire would be preferable to Lacerators.
So i'm debating on setting up my white myr deck to splash green for a Parallel lives. I go back and forth on whether or not this would be awesome token magnification or just redundant overkill. I can't decide. Any thoughts?
Hey all. Just another casual player whose coming back after a very long hiatus and finding his obsession with Magic to be somehow even stronger than it was before.
I see a lot of posts with deck lists in them, so I figure this is as good a place as any to ask this: How does that work? I'm on here primarily to discuss and improve my game. I look forward to the forum's collective input!
Spam Infraction.

2x Myr Battlesphere
1x Myr Propagator
1x Steel Overseer
1x Myr Superion
1x Palladium Myr
1x Myr Galvanizer
2x Myrsmith
4x Hovermyr
2x Myr Sire
2x Myr Turbine
2x Myr Reservoir
4x Origin Spellbomb
2x Frantic Salvage
1x Voltaic Key
1x Marrow Shards
1x Buried Ruin
So this is a fairly new deck. I'd like any advice on streamlining it and making it faster.
