Both of these decks are barely tested and have no tournament results. These are my first iteration of this deck and are rough at the moment. More testing will follow.
I do not see how this is helpful because the strategy I'm aiming for and deck I'm building is completely different from those decks. The first deck is a b/g Loam deck and the second, a u/b stiflenought deck splashing varolz. I typically do not mind netdecking, but writing off the build I proposed because it is nothing like the lists on a pro's article is juvenile.
Needs more discard... and possibly some main decked abrupt decay. Getting the blockers out of the way is important.
Looks good overall though, I can see it being very fun to play
I think Inkmoth Nexus would be a good addition, to circumvent blockers. I think there is a sufficient amount of discard but I suppose you could add inquisition of kozilekor perhaps cabal therapy. Aprupt Decay is going to be somewhere in the 75, but right now this deck is completely untested, so I'm not sure where they should be and in what amount.
For playtesting, if you are using sharpied basic lands and ignore any possible markings, it should work. Although, your cards will be damaged by doing so. Also, I would think this is not allowed for tournament play, because you would not be shuffling unassisted.
I see beck being a cool trick against restoration angel. If they have a thragtusk out, they would reconsider using their Restoration Angel during combat, blinking Thrag, which would let you draw 3, then you yourself could drop a couple creatures MP2 and draw a couple more cards.
Silence won't affect spells that your opponents cast before you cast Silence. (In other words, it can't be used as a retroactive Cancel.) Silence also won't stop your opponents from casting spells after you cast Silence but before Silence resolves.
So the answer is no, your opponent will not take damage.
EDIT:I'm second guessing my judgement. If this is incorrect please correct me.
