nowhere near as powerful as rift. even in multiplayer. Rift is instant speed and also leaves your board completely intact.
Its not a bad card, just not rift 2.0
As powerful as Cyclonic Rift is, this isn't going to be close, but it's still quite strong. By the time you cast this you're always going to get your best permanent back on the board and be ahead in the tempo game.
Ironroot Warlord is a sweet Limited card, but I'm disappointed that there isn't a callback to Ironroot Treefolk and its hilariously awkward flavor text.
Welp, we're like 10 cards in and I already decided this is one of my favorite cards in the set. Exile is good, "each opponent" is great, lategame relevance via pumping is fantastic and BB for that sweet sweet Devotion just seals the deal. Couple it with a fantastic art and flavor and I'm 100% sold on this. No idea who or what Yarok is, but kudos to the guy/gal/whatever.
Yarok? Bala Ged? New black aligned planeswalker from Zendikar, or possibly a legendary creature? Color me interested. Also, seems like a very solid card, both in limited and commander, so I like.
Whoever Yarok is, they're definitely from Zendikar, although my hunch is probably leaning toward them being a legendary creature (maybe a Marit Lage-like cosmic horror type figure that isn't an Eldrazi) rather than a planeswalker.
Chandra's Embercat is cute but it feels like a refugee from a planeswalker deck. Then again, it's easier than usual to have a Chandra planeswalker out, so it might end up being more than just a red bear.
Yarok's FenlurkerBB
Creature - Horror (Uncommon)
When Yarok's Fenlurker enters the battlefield, each opponent exiles a card from their hand. 2B: Yarok's Fenlurker gets +1/+1 until end of turn. "Yarok's nightmares lurk and wait
Where dark despair is near at hand."
-Lament for Bala Ged, stanza 3

Exactly. It's insane.
Probably for Limited, yes.
That Negate is probably the best version of Negate yet. The art is beautiful and the flavor text is hilarious.

This is pretty much what I've been saying for everything Seb McKinnon has been putting out lately.
You're right. I confused devotion and chroma. Serves me right for posting on a Monday morning when I haven't had my coffee yet!
