I would be inclined to go with real beta for Plateau to avoid the crummy Drew Tucker art on the 3rd ed.
Cornelius Brudi actually painted the revised picture. Drew Tucker did the a/b/u artwork. They just didnt change the artist credit for the revised printing of the card.
An album of the Slivers I have been collecting and pimping over the years, few rare sigs and the awesome 3 mana winged slivers http://imgur.com/a/Le2ax
Just wanted to say props to you folks for crafting this deck. I've really enjoyed reading through this points and goldfishing the different versions. I am a pretty big belcher and more so empty the warrens player but I am working on putting this together. If I can in time I want to run it at seattle scg open in april. We'll see!
I thought I would share one of my peasant decks. It started out as a budget legacy project but I wanted to trim it down into one of my favourite formats
You hope to open with EtW or mulligan to it within 6 or 5. Its pretty easy to go over for 8 turn 1 or secure 20+ damage on 3. I ran bushwacker was a 1 of in Legacy and am quite happy how 4 of them are doing in place of the uncommons that would normally be in their slot.
The cycling lands are decent for turn 1 drops or to cycle for that extra dig.
I haven;t put too much effort into a sideboard but it would include some combination of reb/pyroblast, maybe crumble over shatter..
just about all your cards will be playable at opening if you only run one color.
but if you run a red-black-green deck, you might get a hand full of red creatures with no red land cards.
i also assume that multi colored decks win more.
so basically:
multicolored consistent > mono colored > multi colored inconsistent
So, essentially for the sake of simplicity, lets say 50 mono's entered a tournament and 50 multi's entered the same tournament.
Most of the top 25 players would be the consistent multis. Most of the bottom 25 players would be the inconsistent multis. And most of the middles would be mono's.
Do I have the right idea here?
I think that might be simplifying it a bit too much.
I cant comment too much on vancouver but they get their fair share of big events. Im in victoria. We had our first PTQ last year. Big Standard scene here. Modern and legacy are fairly popular as well. Also seems everyone has a highlander deck (not edh) too. Lots of fun.
I like any promotion of this format. It used to be some what popular here in 2004. I still have my goblin deck and the remains of a hightide and stompy.

This is a really nice sliver collection.
thanks
