Multiple Sultai Ascendancy abilities will trigger at the same time. Each one will then resolve separately. So if you have two Sultai Ascendancies, you'll look at the top two cards of your library, put any of them into your graveyard and the rest on top in any order, then look at the top two cards of your library, and put any number of them into your graveyard and the rest on top in any order.
If you have more than one Sultai Ascendancy in play, will that make any difference than if you have only one? Probably not...but I dare ask? Many thanks in advance!
I think this deck has potential since it's such a strong draft archetype. There are a few cards I want to try that might have been overlooked.
Herald of Anafenza - 1 Drop repeatable token maker. Timely Hordemate - If this thing cost 3 it would be better, but It might be ok as a curve-topper. Feat of Resistance - The cantrip on Defiant Strike is good, but Feat of Resistance on a Prowess creature is kind of sick. Wingmate Roc - I'm thinking we want to curve lower than this, but if the mana isn't consistent this could be a 2 of.
I know the goal was trying to stay away from blue, but a UWr deck (or URw) could use these: Jeskai Elder - If they don't answer this they lose usually. Jeskai Windscout - The 1 toughness is bad, but that doesn't mean this card doesn't beat face in the air early and trade late. Stubborn Denial - I'm going to try it. People really don't expect this kind of thing and I'm thinking something like Defiant Strike on a 2 power Prowess guy and this is a hard counter (that also buffs my guys). Disdainful Stroke - Too many counters and you're a different deck, but sweepers and fat are the bain of this deck.
Deflecting Palm - You can keep your ride down's in the board or bring them in and board them out for this. I can't tell you how many close ones i've lost when I'm coming in with Sarkhan for the win and he gets facepalmed.
If you are stiking with the WR aggro splash blue plan then Valley Dasher and War-Name Aspirant should be tried. I think that's the weaker version though.
I'll post a list I ended up testing but these are my brainstorms for now.
My opponent has a Words of Wind in play and I have a Spirit of the Labyrinth in Play. Will this situation only limit my opponent from actual drawing more than one card each round but not hinder him from using the bounce effect on Words of Wind on permanents each time he could have drawn an extra card (having Argothian Enchantress in play, playing enchantments).
Already having 8 of each fetch land and what this set has to offer other than that...my pre-order of 2 displays and a fat-pack will be cancelled. Abzan looks cool, but will not invest money in this, as I mainly play eternal formats.
Ok, I am excited about this block. About time for fetch lands to be making a making a comeback, especially the Allied (I think) lands. The only thing that upsets me, is that some of my fetch lands will go down in price, but either way I am happy that there will be more available for my my EDH decks
I have 8 of each fetch land in NM/M condition...do not care what they were/are worth and what they will be worth
Ahhh...thanks! Sure, of course, I understand You need Split Second removal to be able to remove it...otherwise reactivating the pay one life ability is possible yes. Many thanks!
Can your opponent respond to the Cavern Harpy's 'return to hand' trigger? When you return the Cavern Harpy paying one life, can the opponent respond with a spot removal to kill the Cavern Harpy before it returns to your hand? I think so...but is not sure
He talks about he should be getting priority as you do when Planeswalkers for example is getting targeted by a Hero's Downfall?
Gunnar Draugrbane etc.
