You can choose to run either Board sweepers, the bets being Bonfire of the damned, or straight up burn. My personal favoruite is pillar of flame because it helps against Undying.
Your R/G deck is probably were i would start but dont play Worldfire. Although its cute it isnt going to win you many games, and having a 9 mana spell is pretty useless against a tempo deck.
Carven of souls is also good against delver if you decide to go Naya and play alot of humans.
Lastly Birthing Pod is another excellent card against Delver and coontrol decks. Being able to tutor what you want and generally increase your board position is very good.

The best way to fight delver is playing a ton of cards that clog up the board and two for one creatures that weaken Vapor snag.

Strangleroot Geist
turns your opponent's Phantasmal Image into straight value town.
Underrated:
Ponder
it smoothes out draws so well, and is one of the main reasons for Delver's success since it's the deck that utilizes ponder the best. Also happy to see that most control lists run it as a 2 or 3 of now.
I really don't think ponder is underrated. People are finally starting to realize that it's one of the best cards in standard. Also I really hope anyone who says snapcaster mage is overrated is trolling....
Intangible virtue is very underrated however, such an insane card with lingering souls or any token produceing card for that matter.
Also saves it from getting Legend'd to Image or Metamorph.
RA just makes every creature better. When I first saw her spoiled I said this was going to be one of the major players in this set. It was just a matter of time. Glad I got mine while they were going for a song.
Pretty sure this is not true. The Clone entering the battlefield would still be able to legend rule the Geist. There is no targeting involved.
this is the same as every other block that has ever existed. there is always one deck that distinguishes itself from the rest of standard as the best deck. Before delver it was caw-blade, before that it was valakut, before that there were decks like affinity, academy, psychatog, oath, and the list goes on and on.
Delver is just the hate target for the current standard meta-game.

Delver has been the target of hate for months now and is perhaps stronger than ever.
The metric for oppressive and unfair is that the entire formats warps around the existence of a single deck. Not every deck is built to beat delver, which is part of the reason why delver does so well. If it had to face affinity levels of hate on it, its win % would crumple.

People have been gunning for delver since January(ish). Delver warps the format in the fact that if you don't have a number of your cards in your deck against it you will not go deep in that event.
Geist is just a better card. The defense that Splicer provides really isn't to important because game one we are really just trying to kill them as quick as possible. The match-ups where Splicer is good is where our sideboard comes in and plays the timely/sphinx/control game plan.
Amass makes you much more likely to hit your land drops which would allow you to resolve Sphinx more consistently.
I personally love the card. Great in limited and now very solid in standard.
What are we trying to proove in this thread? No delver cards should be banned. It is not that oppressive of a deck but it is without a doubt the best deck in the format. If you plan on going to a major event you have to have a plan against it.
Then shouldn't I do better at FNM? If the players there aren't that good and the decks they play aren't that good, shouldn't Delver perform better for me than the decks (when I bring a recognized top tier deck) that I'm bringing?
It doesn't make sense that I should do worse with a better deck or that there should be no difference.

1. No one cares about your FNM wins or how long you have been paying this game. Those two things mean literally nothing to anyone on this forum.
2. Take Gerry Thompson's Delver deck that crushed SCG Nashville last weekend and play test it this whole week and then play it in your next FNM. You will perform better if you know what you're doing.
GerryT's deck from Nashville is seriously a work of art as far as delver deck building goes. I would use that as a base for anyone trying to tune this deck. There is a TON of play to this build and he really showed that with the correct build and practice Delver is without a doubt the best deck in the format.
