"Hey White? Know how we said we would help you ramp this set?"
"Yeah?"
"We lied. But on the plus side we made this totally unnecessary Green card that ramps you when you don't need it!"
So much tiny text to fit into boxes! She's not horrible. Not as good as she's been, and certainly not as bad as she's been either. Token generation being an ult is a bit bland, even though it provides a huge power on your side of the board. With that high casting cost she's going to be a finisher in some form of control deck.
Seeing lifelink be mentioned on a Dimir card is faintly disquieting to me for some reason. It's like having your parents tell you, after you're an adult, about the crazy alcohol and weed induced stuff they got up to as kids.
On the plus side, not a life gain/loss commander like the other million and a half Orzhov commanders we have.
On the minus side, it's not a very good commander either. Why, WHY, would an ADVISOR creature have an attack trigger? That's a flavor fail right there. And the hoops you have to jump through just to make a single token? Forget it.
Much prefer this to the vamps deck. Spirits are one of my favorite tribes, although it'll be hard to move beyond Brago Blink shenanigans to something else.
Dovin, Architect of Law probably would've been the more useful and thematic planeswalker, even though 6 mana for that is RIDICULOUS. OG Tamiyo would have been an even better choice, but there's no way they'd stick her in there.
The deck cries out for cost reduction elements since there are so many high MV cards in it.
Aside from the face commander and Olivia's Wrath, there's nothing in this deck I want. Completely indifferent to Blood as a mechanic; chances are good we won't see it again except for the odd Blood themed card thrown in Premium sets.
It is strange, and it doesn't fit at all. We've had vampires in Orzhov and Rakdos and Dimir too, but what is a Boros Innistradi vampire like? Crazy because of the Red, but restrained because of the White? Like the vampire version of Gomez Addams, an eccentric? Cuts your hand with a talon, and after taking a sip, presses a handkerchief into your palm and apologizes?
Kinda want to just throw my hands up and go "Screw this place and all this convoluted BS."
But...
Kinda wanna stay, since this is kind of the biggest MTG forum out there.
Decisions, decisions...
I CAN'T UNSEE IT~

I didn't even know that existed! Well, that is an improvement over good old Fency.

Thanks for the laugh, Wizards, I needed that.

Deck is a bust for me.
