Great stuff this month! I liked more Gal's and Rezombied's alters so I voted for both.I had great fun with this month's contest, I hope the next one has a similar challenge :).
Thanks to everyone that voted for my alter. After looking through Spade's gallery, I'm surprised I won. He has some very impressive work. I look forward to seeing more of his work.
Grats on the win, awesome idea (I love that album and it's classic cover) and the detailed execution! Hope I'll see you and everybody in next month's competition :).
It's of one of those I really can't decide, they are both really nice executions, so I voted for the Emortal just because I personally like drawing characters more than buildings-scenery.Awesome job for both:)!
Goofy question, guys. I have been doing alters for almost a year now and this is the first time that I've come across this question. I have a friend who recently acquired a magic card collection including some altered cards. A few are radically altered Legacy staples that would be questionable to run in tournaments (all non-text art is covered in completely different art).
He can just sell them in Ebay, if the altering is at a decent level, the cards will surely sell around their normal price, maybe even more.Plus I wouldn't worry much for tournament legality, if the title and text is not covered and they are not super thick , there is a good chance the head judge would let'em play :).
@ftfkamui
The only one that I can remember using markers for altering is a guy I've seen on Ebay called Ehan106 or something like that. You must remove the layer of paint from the card using paint thiner and then use the markers as in regular paper, it's really nice for painting cartoony characters :).
Altered Custom Art Textless Karn, Silver Golem for my EDH deck.
Isn't this Urza's Tower and an Ornithopter in the background?I love the details, also if this was a gold paved road it'ld remind me of the Tin-man from the Wizard of Oz :).
Thanks guys! This must have been the most fun contest I've participated so far, the outcome could change even in the last day.See you in next month's contest!
Magic back in the 1900s.
Jace Beleren.
Played with some silver paint here.
I hope the nudity is ok with the censorship, if not, mods please remove the card :).
And the Cthulhu themed Dark Ritual I did for June's contest (thanks for all who voted!).
Art by me, inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos.

This guy could be Electro in the new Spiderman movie.
Some people just wanna see the city burn.
This card reminds me my first character in WOW.
