actually it does. Delver's issue is there are too many threats. If they go for your slimes then your thragtusks will swing with impunity. It also works in reverse. The major thing that is absolutely amazing is that you can actually win with a birds of paradise with a asword on it. The deck is meta dependant though, and it works well where I play
It has become apparent that Wizards has decided to move all strategies to "play dude, swing in."
Comtrol decks got far less than aggro and combo is worse off still. I understand their desire to enter new players but over simplifying is just as bad as over complicating. It's this that cause decks that move away from the aggro norm to be outcast. I actually heard someone complain about mill as a **** strategy that makes the game not fun. Mill. They thought that any deck that dosn't kill you with dudes should not be allowed as it is "unsportsman-like."
@ Etched Chester: Me and my girlfriend may go. I only really want top because she intends on cosplay and I would not be adverse to seeing that on her
Otherwise, I must agree with GoC: Magic has gone away from what we al know and love. What was once a contest of skill has become a contest of bargaining. FNM was simply an event that preceded hanging with friends, and we'll have just as much fun without the minor distraction
There's no such thing as a griefer deck, honestly.
Many men in my FNM Would argue that point. Especially if I'm around for the night.

My least favorite part about Magic are the people who get upset because they lost to a certain strategy. It reminds me very much of people who rage about Infect.
There will always be those. Every mechanic, every strategy, every playstyle, there will be those that hate it and whine.

I have played a variant of Turbofog for a while now, and the first match I play at the store, usually someone shouts pretty loudly "Oh not turbofog!" which means everyone in the store then knows what I'm playing. Which is really irritating and probably banworthy. Who is the real griefer?
This constantly happens to me. People know in round 1 what I'm playing all the time because of the "OH GOD NOT *Insert deck* AGAIN!!!" I will admit, sometimes it gets annoying and you probably can make an argument about it but I'd rather everyone be in fear of getting paired against me:)

By your definition of griefer, wouldn't Delver be the ultimate griefer deck?
Not exactly. A Griefer deck is one that is not widely played yet is widely despised. Delver does have it's fair share of haters (myself included) but it can't be considered Griefer because of it's abundance. How many men do you know that play Turbo Fog? How about Land Bust? It's the rarity that makes it special:D
@ LaughingMan: Wow. Pretty funny decklist there. It gives me no small satisfaction to see the looks on people's faces when they lose to things like that.
@ Chili: Why thank you good sir. I Grief hard and people at my FNM commonly start creating SB to deal with whatever I run simply because thy get tired of loseing to that crap.
Hello all. I'm commonly reffered to at my local FNM as the King of Griefers because of my deck choices.
This thread is for all those who wish to display their standard legal decks that may be frowned upon by others because of their win-cons or play styles.
I also, will be the odd man out and say that I actually don't think that Epic Experiment is good outside of EDH.. Though I am saying this before the entire set is spoiled, so I could easily be wrong.
Epic Experiment looks like it could easily be a finisher. Imagine all the Nut spells we've seen that are low mana cost. It's uncanny that they would print card like this even though we have cards like Dreadbore. Like I said: Nut-Nut
Epic Experiment. The only thing I know how to say is Nut-Nut. Finally some good Izzet cards. Maybe everyone and their mother won't be playing Jund after all!
Also keep in mind that these are my cards he'll be using. Thus, no Caverns, and no Restoration Angels (unless Mikey stays home). Oh... and probably no Bonfires too.
The Bonfires were for the transformer SB. It could morph to a RUG type deck against white weenie. I guess Ill just run Slagstorm or Whipflare in the board
@DMX: Please tell me you logged Raw. I told everyone that Rybeck would be running up the ladder fast. And now, Miz is on the Menu.
@Draconic Phantom: Wow bro, thats an intense love for dragons.

My Face
Best. Night. Ever.
That is instant classic tip.

Even Delver cannot win without lands!
All in man. This is most stressing. I wonder how long some will stay by this particular abusive spouse.
Epic Experiment looks like it could easily be a finisher. Imagine all the Nut spells we've seen that are low mana cost. It's uncanny that they would print card like this even though we have cards like Dreadbore. Like I said: Nut-Nut
Thats the point. You can't win without lands. Not even Delver or any other deck can for that matter.
No argument there. I Sneer at the peasants for I am King Griefer!
The Bonfires were for the transformer SB. It could morph to a RUG type deck against white weenie. I guess Ill just run Slagstorm or Whipflare in the board
Indeed. It was more than I could have asked for. It blended flawlessly
Could not agree more. Who do I have to speak to to get it done

This FNM was complete and utter poop thanks to these clowns
