Land is a type, Mountain, Plains, Swamp, Island, Forest are subtypes. Basic is a supertype, so it's Basic Land Swamp, shard convergence checks for subtypes swamp, mountain, island or plains, hallowed fountain has the subtypes plains/island, just the same as putting a glacial fortress into play checks to see if you control the subtypes island or plains.
This weekend we had a draft where we all put 3 packs of choice to draft with. I wound up with a pouncing jaguar because someone opened a pack of saga. 2 out of 3 times I forgot to pay echo, the time I did remember was the first time funny enough. Ended up sacrificing my turn 1 play the other two times.
Best thing is, if the servers weren't down..... ~800 people viewing this thread, with working servers each person would only have to like it 12.5 times which would probably take a minute of everyone clicking..
This deck has been doing well for me. Originally I started out with Fume Spitter, and Highborn Ghoul , I traded the Highborn's for Porcelain Legionnaire, I eventually settled on the High Priests being the right choice. In my meta I was usually playing against a mono-black or UB mirror, usually without mortarpods. I've only played 1 games against any sort of white aggro, and I've been able to work them into verdicting them while their Mirran Crusader is their only creature, or they were behind enough that one of my creatures getting a SOWAP was enough to keep the Mirran Crusader from being able to race me.
The deck hasn't changed much in the last month, it's been to 2 normal standard tournaments, and the game day. My records have been 3-0-1 the first week, 3-1 the next week, Game day I went 4-1 into top8 and punted the first match. Tonight I went 3-0-1 again, and it's all fresh enough to write about.
Match 1 vs White Weenies / Humans
He was running a fairly normal Champion/Honor/Gather/Doomsayer/Crusader build.
Game 1: I got out of the gate quickly, and held back some better removal. Got him to the point that he had to start sacrificing tokens to chump block, cleared his board except for his crusader, Geth's verdict to remove the crusader and he scooped.
Game 2: He played out the optimal hand for this deck, T1 Champ; T2 Gather, T3 Honor, I was dead by turn 4.
Game 3: I kept my 7 and he shipped it back for 6, I with my t1 gravecrawler and churning out the damage. He didn't have any answers, he had 2 honor the pure. I topdecked a ratchet bomb on turn 5 and played it. He played an increasing devotion for 5 3/3 tokens, My turn 6 was Massacre Wurm, then pop the ratchet bomb for the win.

Match 2 vs R/G Werewolves
I also won this one in 3, Game 1 I kept a dodgy hand, light on removal and I was overrun by his werewolves, and lords easily.

Game 2 my Opening 7 had 3 land, Messenger, Ratchet Bomb, Gravecrawler, and Go for the throat. He missed his first 2 drops, and played a Mayor on turn 3. I kept it unflipped, Had my messenger and a Gravecrawler, and Diregraf swing in on turn 4 to a moomist for some bad trades, he flips his mayor, a reckless waif, and something else?. Post combat ratchet bomb and crack clears his board, he goes downhill from there.
Game 3: I land an Obliterator and put a Sword of War/Peace on it, the game ends very shortly afterwards.

Game 1 he doesn't have enough counterspells, I keep upping my threats against his creatureless deck.
(I know the guy and his deck, and I know he's boarding in army of the damned for a hilarious wincon, as well as phantasmal images for my obliterators.)
Sideboarding - 4 geth's verdict, -3 go for the throat, - 1 Tragic slip ; + 2 Gruesome Discovery, + 2 massacre wurm, + 3 surgical extraction
Game 2 He stalls out and stabalizing with curse of death's hold, and extracting/countering my threats. Mills me out with drownyard. I see phantasmal images / snapcasters.
Game 3 I keep an opening hand of 3 land, messenger, messenger, obliterator, obliterator, turn 3/4/5 my messenger/messenger/obliterator gets countered, turn 6 the obliterator sticks, and turn 7 I draw into a lucky sword and he still has no counters, so it goes on and he goes in, and the game is pretty much done.

He's playing a R/G/U wolfrun-ramp style deck. He doesn't find any titan except frost, which I verdict, and my obliterator untaps and starts swinging in. He's holding Blasphemous act, but can't use it due to my obliterator.

I get a great start, apply the pressure fast, get him to use his snags on my cemetary reapers and I play out obliterators and he soon scoops.
