Heirloom CMS was attempted in Season 1. Players didn't like how you it's very hard to guess what will become legal every time a set got released. Some players showed up with a regular deck 5 mins before only to realize a quarter of their deck is illegal.
Maybe a format where every rare and mythic that has ever appeared in a Masters set is banned (All cards from MMA MM15 MM17 VMA EMA Iconic Masters & Masters 25)?
Michelle, you say sideboard slots are so tight but that is an argument FOR flashfreeze NOT against it. Like Modern, you only have 15 sideboard slots but there could be 10 viable deck archetypes. You need cards that are flexible like Flashfreeze, Deathmark, and Celestial Purge instead of single-color hosers like Sphere of Law and Sulfur Elemental.
Have you ever been paired versus mono-green ramp or black zombies and had zero or one card to side in? I have and I've learned my lesson.
PS-I'm probably jet lagged and because I got up at 3am decided to find something to be "productive" on, so I updated the attached meta sheet built in excel that Sensei used to manage but has likely become too busy with the inclusion of a new family member.

Anyhoo, if we are talking RDW hate, I think Flash Flood is better than Warmth and SphereLaw. It doesn't do anything versus burn but sometimes you really need to take out a Sulfuric Vortex or Hellrider. If your 115 doesn't have DayJudgement nor S.Verdict then I think Firewalker is better than the white enchantments as well.
Oh man, only Strip Mine, Dig and Cruise banned? That seems very loose. Baral/Tasiguir will be driving people away from the leagues and the whole format for the next 2-4 weeks.

No. Attendance dropped because the league was ending and players didn't want to join the league only to be forced to finish them all by Tuesday night.
I'm a bit worried that it will drive people away from the format meanwhile, because I've seen how the numbers of people playing in league dropped recently. I can imagine it's mostly because everyon is sick of the blue on blue Baral/JVP mirrors. And this is not going to change with this ban update. I hope I'm wrong and they'll get it right eventually before people get too frustrated and annoyed.
The 1v1 Commander league has been changed to end before the downtime on Wednesday, May 24. The reason for this change is – as announced when we launched 1v1 Commander – R&D plans to make frequent adjustments, getting it to a fun and balanced metagame.
The first of these changes will be happening with the downtime on May 24. We will announce those changes at that time, but in the meantime it will continue as-is.

MTGTop8 has lists starting 5/13. Goldfish starting 5/11. Maybe it's better we ignore the first two days hehe
MtgTop8 is great for DC but has little to no value for 1v1 MTGO commander.
