After a couple more bites the man got up and walked back out of the wagon. A few minutes later and the caravan jolted to a start once again. The rest of the journey was largely uneventful.
The weed Queen made gesture that passed for a shrug.
Weed Queen - "She would not know in her mind. What you see is an illusion my child. A mind broken into pieces, fractured into defensive sections to slow the advancement of The Evil One. I am the Queen and yet I am not. All beings here are either a piece of her or a piece of the evil one. Though his camouflage is cunning. It is likely you will meet those that seem to be of the queen but will indeed be of The Evil One. Perhaps this bear you speak of, or perhaps even myself. One thing you can be certain of is that in the end only one of the two will be left standing."
The wagon tilted backwards slightly as the heavyset man climbed up onto the back. and threw the flap open. light flooded into rear of the wagon and the man headed towards the rear. He stopped just short of the hidden thief and began rustling through some of the barrels. Finally he let out a contented sigh and slid down right next to Locke and took a large bite of his apple. He apparently hadn't noticed the stowaway yet but at this distance the oathbreaker doubted that his spell would be enough to hide him should the man turn in his direction.
The ride was smooth and after a while Locke eventually drifted off to sleep. He awoke to a the caravan he was hiding in shuddering to a stop. There were a couple of thumps as the driver and navigator of his particular wagon swung themselves to the ground. Locke heard footsteps heading towards him from the front.
Gruff Man - "Eve, did you remember to pack the apples? I'm starving."
Heavily Accented Woman - "Of course my dear, they're in the back."
The being seemed to mull the thought over for a moment.
Weed Queen - "If your intention is to defeat the evil one and to free the queen then why would you not take the quickest path? Why did you not kill my warriors?"
There was a gravity in her tone that made it clear the question was an important one.
I run him in my Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge deck. It's fantastic for getting my free cast trigger and then getting another free cast out of their hand, and I get to bring Jeleva back to reset her. The value there was just too good for me to pass up. But in any deck that it doesn't add extra value to your main strategy it's really hard to justify it over other value cards. Also I'll admit that I have been trying to find a reason to run him for a while because... Well it's just such a cool card.
I used to run Thrax in my multi playgroup but as the group evolved and became more competitive I found that I had to evolve the deck itself to more of the star player where Thrax was just a value card that could be used as a secondary wincon. Eventually I felt that he just kept getting outclassed so I tore it apart in favor of Jeleva and I've never looked back. Thrax is much more at home in a two player game. That being said you want to take a look at VashBismarks Thrax primer here.
The throne began to uncurl and transform like a flower blossoming into a figure that was similar to the weed men they had seen previously except this one was distinctively feminine. Her head was adorned with a crown of purple lillies. She turned her alien glowing eyes on the group and narrowed them shrewdly. Despite the expression the group felt a sense peace surrounding them.
Weed Queen - "What are your intentions travelers?"
Hah I was thinking of building something very similar! Great minds think alike I suppose. I was thinking that Force of Savagery would be a good one too since you can get it in the grave real easy. We can also use Phyrexian Soulgorger Although I'm not sure that I will Oh also Rot Wolf seems like one we want
The gate swung easily open and the group continued forward. They found themselves on a patio made of thickly woven tree limbs. Before then was a cave like opening that was lit by a faint purple glow. As they continued into the opening they saw the walls of the wooden cave were spotted with glowing purple flowers. The effect was calming and they felt a welcoming presence. Eventually they reached a chamber with a beautiful empty throne that was literally growing out of the grass covered floor. The throne was covered in the glowing flowers but the colors of the throne flowers came in a myriad of bright colors.
If you're looking for cuts in the noncreature department I think you have a few easy ones. Elixer of Immortality is pretty situational I find it to be kind of mediocre. Legacy Weapon is too expensive imo. Xenagos, the Reveler kind of seems out of place in this build. Enslave likewise feels out of place here since you plan on destroying their creatures anyway.

The woman sounded amused.
When Theran got to two Sly was beside him and added his meager strength to the concerted effort to open the door.
Weed Queen - "If your intention is to defeat the evil one and to free the queen then why would you not take the quickest path? Why did you not kill my warriors?"
There was a gravity in her tone that made it clear the question was an important one.
Weed Queen - "What are your intentions travelers?"
Sly - "Charming."
He made an effort to get closer to the center of the group as they hurried towards the door. He glanced with a haunted look towards the animal sounds.
