So my grixis build turned out to be 'cute' and lacked the real punch it had. Going back to straight blue and debating about going to darkslick shores over deltas. I run five fetches and five fetch able lands. Is this justifiable.
I understand the basic pros and cons of using each, but wondered if anyone has a good reasoning behind one or the other. Currently going to stay at Blue black so fetching an off color isn't an issue atm. And the primer didn't have much on them or comparing the two.
Thanks all.
Yeah inventors fair is super good as people all know now. Played against a Kiki chord evolution deck and the single Relic was the only reason I won. Fetched Relic with fair and played it, exiting all the great stuff he had in the yard.
Now to find room for second fair. Hard with the deck being grixis. Hoping to test it today so will let u all know. Only running a new Chandra, Saheeli, and dread bore.
Mysa21: I think grave hate main board is meta dependent. I have chord decks and dredge decks that are abuse the yard and a Relic main is super handy. Also helps randomly vs game one infect to hose the become immense.
Really love the card but the double blue is a bit sketchy. Usually I find when I need a thirst early game, I have wonky one blue available. And may only have one or two artifacts early as well.
Something test worthy for straight blue black though. Even a one of could be good but the main thing with thirst is discarding sword of the meek. Maybe better if ur deck doesn't run the combo.
Yeah that's what I was thinking and saw no sac outlet and saw none and at that point saw colossus as irrelevant. Cuz once bridge comes down, both grieves and colossus can't be used to full force
I've been thinking on cranial. It's cute but it's easy to swing with a thopter and instant equip, then next turn swing with another and instant equipment etc. Only downside is the cute factor.
Might just be me but four Watery Graves seems a bit much. I run two and more basics but my meta is full of burn and zoo do maybe that's just me. Cuz u got slicks for early game as well.
Just a thought
Does anyone think crane and fair will allow us to cut back on pieces to sword combo? Cane fetch a piece here or there with either plus Tezz.
Just thinking out loud.
This guy's is sweet. Bolt proof and flaying tendrils proof which is nice but creatures are always vulnerable.
Could see it as a one or two of in the 75. Makes the opponent have to kill the creature first. Some decks are harder to do so than others
Haven't been able to play much magic lately. Have a legacy event this weekend I've been testing on but I'm gonna test the crane hard core. It's a better chance to get certain artifact cards into the hand. Can crane into bridge or torpor orb if need be. Orb hurts some of our stuff but helps against chord decks.
But once I get a chance to test I'll report back
Love the crane as well. I know trinket mage is a boss, but sometimes, digging could be what we need. Grabbing a bridge or combo piece is nice. Gonna test it out hard core
I run one main and three board. Having trinket mages works as copies 2-4 pending on how many mages u run. Many decks don't care about chalice on one while some just lose against it. Best having one main.

New Chandra looks like she could be sweet in this type of shell.
