Quote from Planeswalker420"The block has a strong enchantment theme". The key parts are "block" and "theme". A theme in a block is not solely mechanical, it's also creative. There's no doubting that the enchantment theme is a strong part of the creative narrative.
And Valanarch, I'm judging it as a Greek mythology block because that it was it is. The enchantment theme is that, a theme. A creative and mechanical element they used to convey one of the primarya spects of Greek mythology, its Gods. The interpretation being made by the player base of the information given is, in fact, quite predictable. That's what makes it so amusing to me. Wizards were more innovative than people want to give them credit for. They made the enchantment theme unique. It isn't implemented the same way. It's different, new.
That, to me, isn't indicative of failure. It's indicative of great success.
You are misrepresenting. I have provided a citation already that demonstrates that MaRo was planning an enchantment matters block in 2010. Enchantment isn't a subtheme that was tacked onto Greek mythology, rather it was the Greek theme that was tacked onto an enchantment block.

You've also demonstrated callousness toward the complaints that have been made here by arguing that making enchantments different is a good thing. That is a huge part of why we are unhappy.
Let me make an analogy for you and maybe you'll finally understand it.
Let's pretend that you're a kid who loves peaches.
Your parents make dessert for the family every Sunday but your brothers and sisters all prefer other kinds of treats so you don't get peaches all that often.
Then your father starts hinting that it's almost time for peaches again. You're getting excited. You've had peaches before and it's pretty well established that when he refers to peaches he's talking about a fruit that grows on a tree. Then he tells you about this amazing idea he had for a combination of peaches and cream and you get even more excited. It sounds amazing.
Then the night finally arrives and you're ready for your peaches and cream, but instead he comes out with cream-covered cupcakes that were decorated to look like peaches. "THERE'S YOUR PEACHES!"
And you're sitting there - you're confused and wondering what the hell just happened - and you ask him where the real peaches are. Perhaps it's just a joke? Maybe a misunderstanding?
So you ask your dad where the peaches are and then your brother points at the cupcake. When you point out that a cupcake isn't a peach he tries to convince you that it really is a peach. Then he changes his argument and he says that you must've misunderstood father, because he must've meant that this would be a cream dessert with a peach theme.
Meanwhile you're still trying to figure out if there's peaches hidden somewhere.
