I don't really see what Rain of Gore is doing here - firstly, it only works on spells your opponents are casting (it prevents life gain for a spell's controller), so won't prevent the various oppo life gain you're putting out, and secondly, you want people to gain life, so your predator can get bigger. If you want to hurt people for gaining life, False Cure is the way to go. That, followed by a couple of alternative cost Skyshroud Cutters or Reverent Silences can put out quite a bit of hurt, doubly so if you've a Kavu Predator in play getting pumped.
Ive got a deck which features, among other things, Repercussion, Furnace of Rath and Varchild's War-Riders. I think I get the interaction between the first two (repercussion is a separate source so the player take 4 times the initial damage), but I'm a little uncertain on what happens if I attack with a trampling creature such as the Riders with the other two cards out.
Obviously, if nothing blocks, I do 3x2 = 6 damage to the player.
If a 1/1 blocks, would I be right in saying that normally the Riders do 3x2=6 damage, of which 1 is dealt to the creature, and 5 to the player. Repercussion then deals the 1 damage to the player, but this is then doubled by Rath to result in a total of 5+2=7?
Assuming I am right, could I instead decide to deal all 6 damage to the creature instead of applying any to the player, and as such have repercussion do 6x2 = 12 damage to them?
