If someone Terminates a Magus of the Disk in response to a player activating the Magus, the Magus's ability will still blow a bunch of stuff up. Once an ability has been activated, it exists independently of its source, so destroying the Magus doesn't affect the resolution of its activated ability (though, there are some activated abilities that care about whether the thing that created them is still on the battlefield, this isn't one of them; those will say so in some fashion).

The Zen lands come with the intro packs. As to the saga lands, I'm not sure.

I gather, then, that since Zendikar intro packs are no longer available in the WotC store, the basic lands can only be acquired from trading?

Oh, I see, the intro packs with the preconstructed decks. So, I guess it's trading if you want to get them on the cheap. Ok, thanks guys.

How does one acquire regular non-full card art Zendikar basic lands other than just trading with people? Thanks.

I've noticed that people's names appear in red, yellow, and black in the list of people in a particular chat. What do these different colors indicate, if anything? Thanks.

    Quote from Qester
It all depends, yesterday I went to sell a [CARD]Talus Paladin
[/CARD] on mtgo bots were offering 1 tix so i put up an add for 2tix and by no exaggeration within seconds of submitting my add I had someone message me and open trade and buy it. It was so quickly I thought they were responding to my previous add for buying boosters.

That being said I usually buy everything from bots and don't take the time or effort to try to search for a human selling something. Bots were selling Talus for 2.50 so you would only say 20% from buying from a human. Yet if you sell up 1 tix for get a 100% increase. Therefore my suggestion would be if you do not need the tix immediately, throw up an add and you could easily get +75-100% value for the cards your selling.

Yeah, I tried this with an Admonition Angel the other day, but ultimately was not able to unload it at 2. I ended up getting 1.6 for it and was able to use the credit shortly thereafter. I do like the suggestion though of just throwing up the ad for at least a bit; that would be minimal effort with a possible significant gain. If it doesn't work out, I can just sell it to a bot with minimal time investment.

My suggestion is just to not use bots. They're a ripoff.

I would think dealing with humans would be more profitable, but prohibitively time consuming. Eking out the few extra bucks I could get from dealing with people would likely pay less than minimum wage. That being said, if you have a brilliant alternative to dealing with bots, I would love to hear it.

So, I've started on MTGO and I will be using it to draft basically 100% of the time. I am wondering if anybody has any recommendations for bots that are trustworthy, generally have stuff in stock, and are useful for the types of things I want to do, namely buying/selling packs, selling rares I draft that I don't want (almost all of them), and maintaining credit. The larger goal here is just to not get hurt on the margin by having credit stored up with a ton of bots and/or having bots that are just dishonest and won't maintain my credit. I really just have no idea where to start because there are so many bots on MTGO. Any recommendations, particularly from personal experience, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: On a related note, is there somewhere that I can buy MTGO tix for less than face value? I figure these guys have to convert tix into cash at some point somewhere.

I don't remember the pop-up... however you are in fact waiting for the email, which should be coming to whichever address that you provided when you registered.

Ok, I'll give it a little time then. If I don't have something by tomorrow, I guess I'll e-mail WotC. Thanks.

So I wanted to make a new account, entered a user name, addresses, etc. and selected Paypal payment. I got through step 3 and it is like "a web browser is going to pop up" and I'm like "ok, sure." Firefox opens but the address was to my C drive and some other long convoluted thing and it was just an empty page. Then a box popped up on MTGO that said there would be an e-mail sent to me. Am I waiting on the e-mail or is WotC waiting on a payment that I can't make because of the messed up window? Or should I just e-mail WotC? Thanks.

Edit: Also, if this is in the wrong place, apologies.
