I wanted to get on here and leave some of my personal 'Wisdom' but I see many others have said the same thing. MTG is fun because of creative variance, people that 'hate' or reject any small or large portion of MTG in anyway are hypocrites.

I know this seems like an unpopular list but my reasoning was almost entirely based on having a perfect mana curve. In this list i have 15 one cmc, 11 x 2, 8 x 4, and 4 x 4 cmc.
I don't run 4 war falcon because he is dependent, and wingcrafter gives that wondrous flying ability which is mostly meant for geist.
I don't play skyknight because i have no empty 3cmc slots.
Nearheath is weak by itself so only two but with any number of combinations it becomes a baby thragtusk.
Righteous blow! so good, its a white crippling blight, pillar of flame, etc. i use it to remove the pesky blockers that kill my precious strikers or i can use a precinct captain to first strike any number of x/4 creatures.
Geist is mvp
Sublime its nuts but i haven't tested aoj... it sounds like a great idea
Feeling of dread gets me through so i can death strike with exalted.
The only deck i struggle against is midrange. I out run any aggro deck. UW control is fine just keep two good creatures in hand until terminus hits. Frites is fine just have to save the utility spells for late game and dump all creatures asap.
tinker and fabricate are definitely better than diabolic, fabricate is cheaper to buy so for now that will be my choice.
The reasons for psychic drain were one like you said it's cute a another infinite combo and having right cards that give engine life gain mean I won't ever be fetching for one. But I'm considering removing it...
Control spells I want to avoid, I don't like the idea of switching between a reactive and proactive strategy mid game. Any other suggestions for something defensive? Removal maybe? Doom blade? In place of psychic drain?
Preordain vs brainstorm lol what a great debate, I agree preordain is better but one game I drew two ponder and one brainstorm and it was a fun combo that wouldn't have been as good with preordain, i own all three so I will have to play test this.
No indomitable archangel, I've tried this against rdw and wrr and contrary to popular opinion darksteel relic is better. Indestructable metal craft for free beats an angel that can be removed. And for infect dismember is very good. Otherwise I like it I would personally do ratchet bomb instead of ray of revalation, and take out the last two dispatch against tokens but that is more personal preference. Short thread but very good choices
I understand the darksteel axe, but I don't understand why in the world players are giving up on metal craft! Without it tempered steel is on crutches it's social to give up in metal craft. I tried the relic and against red decks it was wonderful it made the mana curve lower and promised you metal craft. The relic should say, "all your cards now have metal craft" that is much more than looking pretty...
Sorry about reviving this thread but no reason to duplicate threads either.
In side boarding against this deck, has anyone tried 4 darksteel relic to protect metalcraft in combination with 2 or 3 indomitable angel? Rather than simply giving up on getting metal craft why not ensure it?
Ps. My meta game can only beat tempered steel with excessive removal, I've placed top eight twice with no side board
It all comes down to this: are you going to buy/trade cards individually or do you still enjoy getting random cards and boosting your collection? if the second is true then this value pack is a damn good deal.
I've found that typically you get one weak 'intro' quality deck and one stronger 'premium' quality deck plus the boosters. If you are still buying cards in the stores then pick up one of the pack every time you find one, because they are rare.
Emera I would like to run but I only ever have 3 lands out, multilayer game I might get five or six.
Mother of runes is a good suggestion and a card I won't forget but I can't see any cards that it could replace.
Sword of plow I've considered but I like path to exile better because my meta game doesn't ever go lean on lands so giving an extra won't effect the game as much as giving life would.
To clarify my problem is that I have ridiculous life and great creatures to end the game and then either my opponent has an indestructible creature or they remove my killing creature... This is why I'm considering elspeth and rune-tail to make my creatures indestructible our test of endurance to just end it lol 8 out of ten games I get 50+ life but I never get the mana to cast test of endurance.... Which means I have to remove life gaining cards to add more land, which decreases my likelihood of getting 50 life, catch twenty two.
I've been consider honor of the pure, I simply don't own any lol
Oblivion ring does have appeal but my meta game doesn't require the wider removal ability
Sometimes kabira does slow me down but I've never had it cost life and if I can save it for later it's great, tyre only reason I would take it out is because I am so very mana slim.... Hmm maybe I'd I took it out I could afford to run one less land....
auriok is becoming more and more appealing....
Eos is too expensive, so is reveillark
Proclamation would be amazing...
How do you deal with flying opponents? I'm thinking of taking out my squadron hawks
Have you played both ajani and elspeth???? How do they affect the game and compare with each other?

Everything else is to encourage these combo's.
Suggestions? comments?
Any one else use the relic or axe?
Anymore input on darksteel relic probably traded in for glint hawk or origin spellbomb?
