While my initial reaction to the previewed cards today was "Holy crap Time Walk!" after settling down and looking over the other treats I've got to say this is my favorite. It's my color, it's cheap, it's common, and it saves my favorite creatures from targeted removal.
As already mentioned this card doesn't just save one of my creatures from a Tragic Slip, it acts as a great combo for permanently exiling a creature thanks to Fiend Hunter. Would this also be a good way to keep a creature under Mind Control when your opponent tries to get it back? I love the possibilities that this card opens up.
Card: Thunderous Wrath - 4RR, Instant, Thunderous Wrath deals 5 damage to target creature or player. Miracle R (You may cast this card for its Miracle cost when you draw it if it's the first card you drew this turn)
As a player who hasn't really touched Magic for 7-8 years and now only plays casually, I really really miss the old frames. A lot of my cards have them which makes me happy, but when I see some of the great cards today I can't help but want to make my own proxies of them with the old frame.
I just liked the look and feel of the old artifacts so much more, and I loved how the text boxes of some colors looked like old parchment (like green). I guess I'd like the new frames more if they brought back the old coloring at least.
Carnal Priest2WW
Creature - Human Cleric (R)
Protection from black
Whenever a player casts a black spell, put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield. "Only those devoted will be served."
2/2
Sounds cool, might be a little too strong against (or combo'd with) black if everything they (or you) are casting is giving you a 2/2 creature. I could see it going into an Innistrad deck.
This card was inspired by the recently released Snapcaster Mage and was designed to fit into a enchantment themed set. I'm still unsure if it's too powerful in its current state and what adjustments could be made to make it balanced and still good enough to be suitable for a tournament environment.
Revena2UU
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard (M) t: Draw a card.
As long as Revena is enchanted, she has "t: Target instant or sorcery spell in your graveyard gains flashback until end of turn. The flashback cost is equal to its mana cost."
1/3
Hello everyone! I came back to MTG recently with the release of M12 core set after a long hiatus (the last set I bought was Champions of Kamigawa), it's been a fun experience so far seeing what has changed in the game.
I'm just a casual player for now but I'm glad to be a part of a community of people who are as friendly and helpful as the MTG player's I've met so far.

Oh and I love the art, go angels!
Same, I quit after Champions and missed the first Ravnica, but I did like the artwork that I saw from that set so I'm looking forward to a return.
