    While I'm sure there are some extremely talented artists here, at the cost of $20-25 per alter, I should just buy a new Taiga because HP ones are only $40/ea.

    All I'm looking for here is some advice on how to fix the card with just household items or for under $5 with stuff from Walmart. Anything more than that $5/Walmart threshold, and I might as well just buy a new Taiga.

    Putting a card behind it makes the sleeve stand out clearly in my EDH deck, so I'm not exactly sure what else would do it.

    Sadly, I'm not very artistically talented. I think that I'll head to Walmart this weekend and see if they have any clear glue that I could paint a thin layer on.

    Well, I don't think I want to sell it. I'd much rather do what I can to reconstitute whatever "sturdiness" to it that I can, even if doing so renders it completely worthless.

    Hello everyone. I was recently going through some of the older cards in my Magic collection, and I stumbled across two dual lands (Taiga and Badlands) that were accidentally washed several years ago when I was in high school. I'd like to play them, but despite drying them out completely and making sure they're perfectly flat, they're still VERY flimsy -- even to the point where you can obviously feel how flimsy they are through sleeves.

    I'm wondering if there is a way to reconstitute the cards' thickness with clear glue, starch, or something of the like. If anyone knows of any way to do such a thing, please let me know!

    Speaking of the portals, how did they get to Dominaria? The sky is littered with them and they're huge; how in the world did Yawgmoth fill the sky with portals?

    Personally, my vote goes to Jodah. Let's look at the facts...
    1. Jodah is older than Barrin, thus he has exposure to older, more ancient, spells.
    2. Jodah ran an entire school (The City of Shadows) full of hundreds of mages for hundreds of years before Barrin was even born.
    3. Jodah made himself "vanish" from history shortly after the fall of Lat-Nam, so who knows the countless amounts of knowledge he's been exposed to since then? For all we know, he could have disguised himself and studied at Tolaria.
    4. For the same reason as above, we don't really know how many battles/fights/conflicts Jodah has been in since his disappearance. We don't know exactly what he's been through, but I'll sum it up nicely...it takes a hell of a lot of power to survive Yawgmoth's entrance into Dominaria.
    5. Barrin had limited exposure to Planeswalkers, I believe Urza was his only main contact to one. Jodah, on the other hand, conversed with several planeswalkers (given, not all on the best terms), and even got some of them to "owe" him "favors".
    6. Barrin died during the invasion due to a faux imitation of the Sylex blast that he learned from Fearon (sp?) during the Ice Age. Fearon, widely known as a powerful wizard, must have learned that spell somehow, perhaps from a more powerful wizard. Who was a more powerful wizard at that time? Jodah.
    7. Jodah is still alive, Barrin is dead. These additional thousands of years of live must have added countless additional spells to Jodah's arsenal.

    Sorry if this type of thread has been posted here before, but I've seen this kind of topic on other MTG Storyline boards and I thought I'd bring it here.

    The point of this is to pick two storyline characters and discuss who between them would win in a duel. We can also assume that both characters would have whatever resources they would typically have when entering a duel at their disposal.

    So to get things kicked off, I'll choose two characters that I've been curious over now for awhile.

    Jodah's immortality is very different from Squee's imortality. If Jodah were to get his head crushed in by a hammer, his head would not simply reform; he'd be dead. Squee on the other hand would reform, get back up, and be able to continue onward as though nothing happened.

    In short, Jodah's immortality prevents him of dying of old age. Squee's prevents him from dying of anything.

    Hello, I was hoping someone would be able to help me with this connection issue on Magic Workstation.

    You see, I recently got my new laptop (Windows Vista OS) and after I got it all up and running I installed MWS and the most recent game package. So I built my deck and tried to connect to mwsplay.net (or whatever the default connection is) and I simply get a message that says "Could not connect."

    How can I fix this?

    Today I was flipping through some of the cards in my collection and I came across the card Dauthi Trapper, the flavor text on it reads...

    "Merfolk tell their young of Dandan, humans of Rag Man. Dal tell tales of the Dauthi, and they are far worse."

    The mentioning of Lord Ith's creation, the Rag Man, really caught me off guard. What really gets me though is the fact that this is in the set Stronghold, so as far as I know this is countless years after The Dark took place.

    So I guess my main questioning is if it's plausible that Ith lived far past a typical human's lifespan like Jodah did. For one's creation to be told in children's tales it'd have to be around for a very long time, so Ith must have been walking Dominaria for several years past his expected lifespan.

    To the Authors: Perhaps a snort story in an anthology could elaborate on Ith's life after the fall of the Conclave of Mages.
