Question: have anyone tried Grand Abolisher? What’s the verdict? Is it good or is it bad and why?
Currently I’m playing 2of of him and it’s pretty good I feel?
Voice is just better as it actually gives you some value if they bolt/push it.
But Grand Abolisher protect you the turn you Combo?
Not really as you still need to play and wait for summoning sickness to wear off. If they have removal they'd just do it in respons to the abolisher anyway. It does basicly nothing..
Hmm the new Enchantment/lan is rather interesting, without testing.. not sure how viable it could be for Modern, but seems good for standard (take that with a grain of salt since i don't play standard)
that card is more for bant spirit or knightfall in modern i think..

Drop 2 branchwalker. I did find branchwalker slows down the deck compared to when I’m playing mono blue. So this should be as fast as when it’s mono blue or even faster since we now have even more lord?
I like having around 14 lords, since the new lord doesn’t give islandwalk, I dropped 1 of it.

I don’t find the deck need relic in the side, it now needs more enchantment destroying now since we go into 2 color, people is going to bring in blood moon and destroy our vial. 3 Pierce and 1 dispel cause of storm?
Does anyone still run the 2016 World's CFB Abzan List anymore? With the 3x Noble Hierarchs and lower land count? The last time I saw the deck put up results was last February by Patrick Tilsen at the SCG Modern Open. Any benefits to running this version of the deck nowadays?
The only benefit I see is you can turn 2 liliana and your solo attacking tarmo is bigger.. I think that’s all?
Edit: and Noble Hierarch is a fatal push magnet too?
Nah. No deck should be maining surgical outside of lantern
Be careful with surgical, that card is one of the hugest traps in all of modern. It should really only he used against combo decks or ramp decks that fulminators is good with.

but in many games i played, after a hand disruption or after killing a creature, i always wished i could surgical that card and get rid of it for the rest of the game so i don't have to deal with it later on or again. that's why i asked if you have tried maining it.
I'm playing BG Rock (Steve Hatto's version from GP) and have a lot of trouble with Burn which is common in my town. What would you recommend as sideboard against Burn?
