So I couldn't really find many ideas around the awesome sauce that is Borborygmos Enraged .
The most playable looking was the Unburial Rites package with heaps of trees and rocks for Borbory to throw at your face!

I think this should be built in Modern but there is so many cards I'm unaware of in this format that my list is pretty un-modern.

    Here you are:

The land should definitely be changed but you get the idea.

I don't even agree with that. Blue should be allowed to be good at anything... just like every other colour. It should just put it's own spin on things. Delver, for instance, is an insanely aggressive card, but it only works when you're supporting it with lots of spells - and if they're not cheap ones, you're not casting them, so your delver is never going to be useful... and that means things like Unsommon and Counterspell. There, aggro that feels very blue. Of course, delver is too good, but it didn't need to be.

And the fact that blue is good at everything while other colors are often left in the dust happens too often, but again that's a power level issue, not a philosophy one.

What is the point in having colors then?

To me a color is a statement of the strategy you support.
Mixing colors is how we mix our strategies. If every color could play every strategy why would we splash at all?

It does appear though that the lines dividing the color pie have slowly been shrinking, however some colors *cough* WHITE / BLUE *cough* appear to be
reaping the rewards more so than others. RED (my dominant strategy) seems
to be in quite the state of confusion.

PS - I've reported your post for calling me retarded.

Ahahaha whatever dude, your just complaining about people complaining then aren't you?

P.S I said the observation was retarded.

On subject however I hope this Merfolk Lord is a sign of better lords to come especially in way of a new Goblin lord.

Magic shouldn't get players who do nothing but whine about what cards colors do and don't get.

Know what? There are a lot of cards I'd like to get. I never will. Guess what? That's life. I don't ***** about it every chance I get. I accept what WotC gives me to play and I don't whine like a kid.

    "Blue's OP"
    "Red sucks"
    "Green has crappy removal"
    "Black has lousy board wipes"
"White gets all the good cards"

How about everybody just play the cards they're given and stop whining about all the things in this game they don't like?

You know, sometimes, when I read these boards, I have to ask myself this question.

"Do you people REALLY like playing this game?"

Because I have never read more complaining at any forum in my life.

    Just an observation.

This is a *snip* observation. If we didn't enjoy the game then we wouldn't care about what cards were printed now would we?

It is because we like playing this game that it annoys us when color choices affect how well your deck can compete. So voicing our complaints over what we as the god damn CUSTOMERS think of recent design decisions is more than valid.

Or are you looking for a forum where you can thank the lords of MTG for their humble offerings that they charge us for? If so you should join the rest of the *snip*'s on MaRo's Tumbler.

Please try to avoid using inappropriate or flaming language. -TK

So dumb. Green gets haste before red. Power down red more by taking away haste? Seriously R&D I hate you guys.

    Ditto dude.

They can take this rare piece of crap and shove it back up their crap hole!

    Sick green deck, bro.
    Sick blue deck, bro.
    Sick white deck, bro.

But please, don't let real decks that people are playing and winning with stop you from complaining on the internet.

    Ahahahaha!! (speaks for itself)

I don't think that WOTC hate red (although I rant a lot on these forums in that direction)...

Nice rant dude, i like seeing your comments all over the red space.

From what I have seen so far I'm going to try W/R Humans as Lightning Mauler is (as pointed out) a far better haste giver than this garbage card. That or B/R Vampires (groan).

Why there is a need to give haste to RED creatures when they should have it already is beyond me... oh wait its for everything but RED, they just ran out of space to put it on all the WHITE / BLUE cards.

Here is a quick list of all the RED creatures in standard that have non-conditional haste currently:

Hmm notice how they start at CMC3 then get higher, oh but GREEN gets Strangleroot Geist at CMC2!

Here is how that list will look after rotation, since not even a single RED creature in M13 has haste yet:

Awesome!! (even bloody BLACK has a haste creature, Duskmantle Prowler!!)

Why does everyone cry about how bad red cards are!? There are good red cards just not for MONO Red just like there are good cards for every other color just maybe not for a mono color. You don't see players crying they can't build a mono white deck or a mono black deck!?

Perhaps thats because they CAN build decent mono WHITE and BLACK decks!!

Except you're shoehorned to play with goblins to get the benefits. Fervor works for everyone, not just janky goblins.

Therein lies the damn problem, not only is it a bad card it ends up being a better card outside of RED!

I'm smelling a Goblin Lackey reprint at rare. Who's the scariest one drop in standard NOW?

I hope so. That could compensate a little for a lack of Goblin Chieftain, but without grenade I don't know.

I had no delusions that RED wouldn't be passed over once again, all I wanted was the chance to continue running an explosive Goblin deck (for fun).
Instead they took that small glimmer of hope and while laughing maniacally threw it out the window and went back to creating one of the best WHITE angels to grace our presence.

All of the comments about RED made in the last several posts point to issues most RED mages feel (this fills me with RAGE!).

One day they might take corrective actions to restore the color, but I am done holding my breath.
Its time to either embrace the tired old WHITE / BLUE crowd (heck maybe I can even splash some red burn, yey!) or give it a rest for awhile.

I want to submit a mechanic to MaRo it will be something like -if target player is playing RED you may take a huge dump all over his cards....

Yey new Goblins..... oh wait they suck!!! Especially if Grenade and Chieftain don't make the M13 cut.
Best new goblin card is a functional reprint of Dragon Fodder and again will only be useful along with Grenade and Chieftain.

Unless something amazing happens its bye bye Gobbos.

It makes me so angry how RED gets nothing time and again with each new set!
Now they flaunt otherwise useless Goblin 4 drops in my face ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

If they don't reprint Goblin Grenade and Goblin Chieftain, or otherwise refuse to give RED any good burn, I'm going to take a MTG break.

If anyone thinks I was actually advicating Kuldotha Red, you need to reread my post.

I know you weren't, I was merely saying I had tried the equipment centric build with Gaveleer before when wielding Kuldotha Red builds.
Even then the best Kuldotha Red deck didn't run Gaveleer. He just isn't that good and needs to many cards to make him viable at all.

Currently I think everyone here has come to agree that the best Goblin deck possible is derived from:

This is backed up with burn and other creatures. The only piece of equipment anyone would consider would be Sword of War and Peace, again no Gaveleer.
