Reverberate has been debated back and forth on the Goblins thread a lot but I currently enjoy running it as its a hilarious card.
I would definitely recommend Grenade and Brimstone combo build. Forget the four drops and just keep the Metamorphs (very powerful card).
Considering the new cards has left me wanting for this particular deck. Im not even sure I would run a couple copies of Thunderous Wrath as its ONLY playable from top decking.
The most playable looking was the Unburial Rites package with heaps of trees and rocks for Borbory to throw at your face!
I think this should be built in Modern but there is so many cards I'm unaware of in this format that my list is pretty un-modern.
Here you are:
4x Borborygmos Enraged
4x Thragtusk
Spells: 24
4x Faithless Looting
4x Grisly Salvage
4x Mulch
4x Earthquake
4x Unburial Rites
4x Life from the Loam
4x Savage Lands
4x Jungle Shrine
2x Swamp
2x Plains
8x Forest
8x Mountain
The land should definitely be changed but you get the idea.
What is the point in having colors then?
To me a color is a statement of the strategy you support.
Mixing colors is how we mix our strategies. If every color could play every strategy why would we splash at all?
It does appear though that the lines dividing the color pie have slowly been shrinking, however some colors *cough* WHITE / BLUE *cough* appear to be
reaping the rewards more so than others. RED (my dominant strategy) seems
to be in quite the state of confusion.
Ahahaha whatever dude, your just complaining about people complaining then aren't you?
P.S I said the observation was retarded.
On subject however I hope this Merfolk Lord is a sign of better lords to come especially in way of a new Goblin lord.
This is a *snip* observation. If we didn't enjoy the game then we wouldn't care about what cards were printed now would we?
It is because we like playing this game that it annoys us when color choices affect how well your deck can compete. So voicing our complaints over what we as the god damn CUSTOMERS think of recent design decisions is more than valid.
Or are you looking for a forum where you can thank the lords of MTG for their humble offerings that they charge us for? If so you should join the rest of the *snip*'s on MaRo's Tumbler.
Please try to avoid using inappropriate or flaming language. -TK
Another good WHITE and BLUE creature card.
For RED we have... slumbering pile of retarded donkey crap.
Thats it Im not playing this block, piss off with your joke cards WOTC!
Ahahahah! I want to punch MaRo in the face!
Ditto dude.
They can take this rare piece of crap and shove it back up their crap hole!
Ahahahaha!! (speaks for itself)
Nice rant dude, i like seeing your comments all over the red space.
From what I have seen so far I'm going to try W/R Humans as Lightning Mauler is (as pointed out) a far better haste giver than this garbage card. That or B/R Vampires (groan).
Why there is a need to give haste to RED creatures when they should have it already is beyond me... oh wait its for everything but RED, they just ran out of space to put it on all the WHITE / BLUE cards.
Here is a quick list of all the RED creatures in standard that have non-conditional haste currently:
Hmm notice how they start at CMC3 then get higher, oh but GREEN gets Strangleroot Geist at CMC2!
Here is how that list will look after rotation, since not even a single RED creature in M13 has haste yet:
Awesome!! (even bloody BLACK has a haste creature, Duskmantle Prowler!!)
Perhaps thats because they CAN build decent mono WHITE and BLACK decks!!
Therein lies the damn problem, not only is it a bad card it ends up being a better card outside of RED!
I hope so. That could compensate a little for a lack of Goblin Chieftain, but without grenade I don't know.
Instead they took that small glimmer of hope and while laughing maniacally threw it out the window and went back to creating one of the best WHITE angels to grace our presence.
All of the comments about RED made in the last several posts point to issues most RED mages feel (this fills me with RAGE!).
One day they might take corrective actions to restore the color, but I am done holding my breath.
Its time to either embrace the tired old WHITE / BLUE crowd (heck maybe I can even splash some red burn, yey!) or give it a rest for awhile.
I want to submit a mechanic to MaRo it will be something like -if target player is playing RED you may take a huge dump all over his cards....
Best new goblin card is a functional reprint of Dragon Fodder and again will only be useful along with Grenade and Chieftain.
Unless something amazing happens its bye bye Gobbos.
Now they flaunt otherwise useless Goblin 4 drops in my face ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
If they don't reprint Goblin Grenade and Goblin Chieftain, or otherwise refuse to give RED any good burn, I'm going to take a MTG break.
I know you weren't, I was merely saying I had tried the equipment centric build with Gaveleer before when wielding Kuldotha Red builds.
Even then the best Kuldotha Red deck didn't run Gaveleer. He just isn't that good and needs to many cards to make him viable at all.
Currently I think everyone here has come to agree that the best Goblin deck possible is derived from:
This is backed up with burn and other creatures. The only piece of equipment anyone would consider would be Sword of War and Peace, again no Gaveleer.
