It has a little bit of everything, but this is only the initial draft. Several points/questions:
1. I feel like Purphoros, God of the Forge can be a creature often times since all of the other permanents are RR. With that in mind, so does Fanatic of Mogis. Which one you'd think fit the deck much better?
2. I love Frostburn Weird in this deck. Part of it is because it survives Anger of the Gods and part of it there RDW everywhere in my meta and Weird won't get easily burn.
3. I don't know if I should splash some W. If I do, the only cards I would like to splash is Chained to the Rocks or maybe Boros Charm in the sideboard. Any ideas?
In my opinion, Vexing Devil is fine in a Hellrider deck. Sure, it is most likely not be able to attack when Hellrider is in play, but that is after the opponent takes 4 damage to get rid of it (or it eats removal, of course, but that's not relevant here). That, in a way, covers up for its inability to attack with Hellrider.

You can watch games from SCG here. Seen lots of interesting decks already. One Mono Red. A guy who played it played pretty standard stuff - Stromkirk/Cackler, Ash Zealot, Hellrider. He also played Nightbird Clutches against Zombies, but only seen it on his hand. Not sure if it was in his sideboard.
There's 2 cluthes in the MD. He did a deck tech video before the match. Several interesting card choices like running only 20 mountains, 3 mogg flunkies, 2 clutches and only 1 stonewright (if im not mistaken) MD. he also has forge devil in the SB. Other than that, standard stuff.
This gives me hope. Going to test it for sure. Just 1 Grim Lavamancer away for me to make an exact copy. But, does the Wolf Run actually relevant in his matches?
This is my 1st list, and I'm expecting more changes to be done. Obvious exclusion here would be Blade Splicer, since I sold mine recently. Is it really that good or can this do fine without it? Another one would be Massacre Wurm.
Helps with my manabase and sideboard would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks.
Yeah, I know that this list is like a 74 card copy of Dayv's list, but that is only because I think that the mixture is just spot on. Apart from my list having only 2 Lavamancer since I think he is not that great without fetchland. And going 3 Koth and 2 Hero since Koth survives board sweepers which I think will be rampant in the new standard.
Anyway, there are some cards that I would like to introduce to the deck but not sure whether it's worth it or not. So, I would like to hear your opinions on those cards.
Devil's Play: A 1-off in place of Arc Trail or Incinerate
Volt Charge: Over Incinerate/Brimstone Volley
Fling: In the SB over Nihil Spellbomb or Ratchet Bomb. Traitorous Blood the opponent's Wurmcoil then Fling it. If he's still not dead, at least you'll get the 3/3 tokens.
With all the talk about scamp vs fireslinger, why do people forgetting Goblin Arsonist?
He's quite versatile, kill 2 1 toughness creatures, kill a 2 toughness creatures, kill a 1 toughness creature AND enable bloodthirsted Berserker T2. Isn't he much better than those two? (though I am running scamp now).
The thing with Wreckess Waif is that we also want to cast two or more spells on a turn since I believe our deck is aggro-esque. So maybe we are abel to keep his 3/2 form for T2 and maybe T3 only.
Edit: Fixed a couple of card links that didn't work.
looks simple and nice. But you might want to replace Shock with Arc Trail. Though a sorcery and costs more, I think the 2 for 1 should not be underestimate and can easily bring the game in your favour.
4 Boros Reckoner
3 Chandra's Phoenix
2 Ember Swallower
4 Frostburn Weird
2 Purphoros, God of the Forge
2 Stormbreath Dragon

4. Sideboard is still up in the air. The only card I think of is Burning Earth, Mindsparker, Ratchet Bomb, Pithing Needle and maybe Skullcrack. I was thinking of a totally transformative sideboard like 4 Rakdos Cackler, 4 Firedrinker Satyr, 4 Burning-Tree Emissary and 3 Ash Zealot since I found that this deck easily succumbs to Control (Esper or U/W).
I hope that the red masters in this forum can give their own input on this deck.

20 Mountain

4 Gore-House Chainwalker
3 Rakdos Shred-Freak
2 Hellrider

2 Thunderous Wrath
4 Pillar of Flame
I've posted this on another retired thread. Notable absentees include Stonewright, Thunderbolt, Wild Guess. Not sold on those...yet. But Thunderbolt can easily replace Searing Spear if I want to.
And I found that no Pithing Needle is included in any sideboard at all. Why?
Anyways, this is my 1st draft for a post rotation mono red.
19x Mountain
2x Hellion's Crucible
Creatures: 25
4x Stromkirk Noble

4x Searing Spear
2x Thunderous Wrath
4x Pillar of Flame
Am not so sure about the Mogg Flunkies, but it seems it would work well with the hasted Ash Zealot and Rakdos Shred-Freak.
Cards that I would like to play with includes Guttersnipe and the mentioned Cryptborn Horror. Your thoughts?
*update* ok, changed the Mogg Flunkies with Gore-House Chainwalker. He doesn't need a buddy to attack.
