Hm. So Legacy infect just took down an IQ maindecking 3 Treasure Cruise. Given how fundamentally broken the card seems to be, has anybody tested it in Modern Infect?
I was trying to figure that out myself, I don't play BUG infect regularly but I do own the cards physically so I decided to re-explore the archetype.
the problem with using treasure cruise is what do we cut? the deck seems to have very few flex spots and we run the risk of having cruise sit in our hand when it could've been some form of pump/protection.
I've never played in a large event before and I planned my first one to be Grand Prix New Jersey in November and my girlfriend wants to come a long since we live barely an hour away from the venue. She likes watching me play, but she doesn't play herself is she allowed to watch? How far away would she have to be?
Another question is in regard to the strictness of side events, the friday before the main event SCG is having a "sealed pool spectacular" would I be able to help my girlfriend build her sealed deck assuming she actually tries to learn how to play?
After testing wafo-tapa's list with adjusted mana for our future fetches, adding in a second tec edge, adding a singleton Utter End I agree that our matchup against decks like Tron are very difficult.
Looking at the proactive lists though, at one point does the deck just turn into a midrange strategy, and as it gets closer to the edge of control to midrange/control, what does the proactive versions have that strategies like Rock don't already offer and possibly do better?
not to discredit any ideas but I just want to know how you guys are thinking now, i'm new to deckbuilding and i'm looking to invest in this new frontier of Esper Control. I truly think with our better mana bases we are now contenders.
Analyzing wafo-tapa's deck i'm curious about why he isn't using Lingering souls.
My guess on why he's not using it is because he's playing a heavy control permission type strategy and tapping out for lingering souls isn't good, but is there a reason i'm missing?
Also how does he deal with early aggression G1 besides spell snaring 2 drops and pathing high priority targets.
Nice catch, he made the comment September 5th i'm surprised he didn't delete it.
"So I bought into bug as my post rotation deck and it seems the weakest wedge thus far. Damn. B/w/r looks so good. Sorry I can't memorize those silly names"
was the original comment, its possible he could've taken it as the player wanted to use the deck in modern?
How often does the banlist get updated? I've been trying to research it and looked at timelines but as of last year the dates started getting wonky and confusing.
I'm still shocked bitter blossom isn't off the last with abrupt decay ruinning rampant in GB(x) variants everywhere.
I'm pretty sure eternal constructed Magic is just plain dead in Nassau County, as far as i've seen
Game Master Games - Standard, Draft(12$)
Empire Gaming - Standard, weekly sunday Modern(10 proxies allowed), but from what I heard the turnout for modern isn't that great.
Comic book Depot - Standard, Draft
Based upon facebook events this is all that i've seen.
I'm torn between buying an actual legacy deck, or just plain out spending the money on MTGO. The lack of constructed play outside of Standard is so disheartening.
I haven't been to Game Master Games in a while, when they used to be in Mineola turn out for legacy I saw wasn't too hot. I'm hoping for more Modern stuff to start popping up cause i'm definitely interested in that.
BBE I can understand, but Seething Song? Really? Trying to leave personal bias behind because I just bought the UR storm deck core which was money out of my pocket only to have it now banned. This is a ridiculous format to play at the moment the fact that it's so young wizards isn't even sure whats good and bad for it, they're experimentally banning stuff. Now i'm stuck with the cards for a deck that is definitely not going to exist anymore. This format is wack.

If you don't like running cause I know my overweight friends who want to lose weight hate it, try lifting weights. Yes Cardiovascular activity is good for the heart and burns calories, but with a steady weight lifting regiment you should be able to lower body fat percentage.
Weight is just a number, you can lose weight but after you lose the weight whats left? You'll have flabs of skin, like one of those flying squirrels. Take the weight loss slow, go to a local gym and nutritionist. Get your lean body mass, and find out your macro-nutrients(the amount of fat/proteins/carbs your body needs) and contour it to your goals. Lift weights so you fill out your body. You'll feel more confidence being bulked, rather then some skinny guy.

but if you're making it for fun, apostle's blessing, possibly adding green for vines of vastwood.

Thanks in advance for any info
