Each Main Event ticket will get you a special Prerelease Package containing 6 Boosters, a Promo Card, a spindown life counter & more with which to build your deck. On Saturday at 3 pm & Sundays at 1 om we'll be firing our Two-Headed Giant Events. THG costs $40 per two-man team. On Saturday at noon we will start a series of 8 or 16-player sealed-deck prerelease "side events" and will continue as interest dictates. Side events cost $30 each. I'm telling my customers to look at MM15 like this: If you wanted to buy an OOP booster box of something like Zendikar, Innistrad, etc you'd be paying in excess of the current price of an MM15 box, and there's never been a set with so many great cards in it. People are a little nuts (ok, spoiled) right now because the product is new and available. When the dust settles SOON & the product is no longer being printed this will be the product to have, no brainer. Once dealers have to pay the retail price to get them, they will only go up.
This. A lot of this. This set is bonkers when considered next to other sets, and in a year people will wish they had bought it for $220.
Spoiled? Perhaps you are right, but I also laugh at the bias of store owners.
Of course this product will be worth tons after it's out of print. At the same time, the value at rare and uncommon is disappointing overall compared to MM1. You collect staples by getting those path to exiles, Lava spikes, and kitchen finks type cards. MM1 just felt better as a way to get into Modern. The density of value should not be bottles in the mythics but dispersed throughout.
I can't name a single booster product that people buy hoping to get good uncommons etc - it's no different than any other MTG, aside from the price. It's all about the mythics. People by millions of regular booster boxes, yet rarely get their $90-100 worth. Good thing this is a good game lol!

We'll be awarding lots of Fate Reforged boosters to the Top-8 players, and the PPTQ winner will qualify for the Regional PTQ's for Vancouver on April 25-26, 2015! As usual with any All-Stars event, we will be giving out a ton of prize support.
We will also have our Level 2 Judge, Mike Noss on hand, along with other qualified judging staff, to make sure that this tournament is run professionally and smoothly. Our staff is the best in the business!
The event tickets costs $30, or can be purchased for $25 at our Fate Reforged Prerelease Weekend Jan 17 & 18 in the Oxford Valley Mall Community Room (cash only).

These are the latest of many officially sanctioned Magic tournaments that we host in the enormous OXFORD VALLEY MALL COMMUNITY ROOM. This venue allows us to spread out & enjoy the game more than ever before, with large tables & lots of comfortable seats. We've been running huge events in this great venue for years now, so come attend our well-run prerelease event(s) in grand style!

Tickets: Tickets cost $30 per player per sealed event, or purchase a combo ticket for both days' Main Events for $55. Tickets can be purchased at our All-Stars Collectibles retail location on the outside of Oxford Valley Mall (cash or charge) or at the Community Room (cash only) at the event itself. Tickets are available NOW & right up to the days of the big events We will open our store's doors at 8:30 AM on the event days for last-minute ticket sales. Limited seating available, register early to not miss the events!
SPECIAL COMBO TICKET - SATURDAY & SUNDAY MAIN EVENTS JUST $55!
What you get: Your entry fee(s) entitles you to the following:
1) We will be offering you the opportunity to participate in a whole weekend of Fate Reforged prerelease fun! Each Main Event ticket will get you a special Fate Reforged Prerelease Package containing 5 Boosters, 1 seeded Booster, a Promo Card, a spindown life counter & more with which to build your deck. On Saturday at 3 pm & Sundays at 1 om we'll be firing our Two-Headed Giant Events. THG costs $40 per two-man team. On Saturday at noon we will start a series of 8 or 16-player sealed-deck prerelease "side events" and will continue as interest dictates. Side events cost $30 each. You get to play with the new cards from this exciting set for hours - nobody gets eliminated until the events are over or you quit to start another! Like all All-Stars' Magic Tournaments, the prize pool will be HUGE with additional Fate Reforged boosters going to all that make the top 16!
2) The chance to mix, mingle & trade cards with the local Magic Community in a large, well-lit & air conditioned venue. Drinks will be available for nominal fees as will all kinds of Magic products & supplies. The Community Room is also in close proximity to the Mall Food Court. Sorry, cash sales only in the community room.
3) Our exclusive Magic the Gathering vendor & former Vintage World Champion Joel Lim & his crew will be on-hand both days with a world-class selection of Magic singles. Joel will also be aggresively buying Magic singles as well!
4) We will be raffling off Fate Reforged booster boxes at the event, chances are only $5 each & the boxes will be available for pickup at our FATE REFORGED LAUNCH PARTY on Jan 23rd in our retail store! Imagine scoring a whole box of Fate Reforged for only $5!!!
*All participants must have a valid DCI Number at time of registration. Don't have one? No sweat! We'll give you one when you sign up free of charge!
