Thalia on Turn 2. Swarm the field with creatures. In your oppenents turn 5 Upkeep Aurs Fury, sup Supreme Verdict. Only miracle Terminus could interrupt this.
I imagine she'd like to be accompanied by the types of cards you'd find in G/B Aggro. Stuff like Geist, Troll, Avenger and Ooze stick so you can almost guarantee that she'll go off. Obviously, Thrag is a no brainer.
I think it is much more likely she finds her self in a Bant Midrange deck(without seeing the rest of the set obviously). She is tailor made for decks that start 4 Resto Angel, 4 Thragtusk.
Seems pretty bad. Competes with Hellrider and Huntmaster and isn't anywhere near as good as those. I think I'd even play Instigator Gang over this, to be honest.
If ponder couldn't shuffle, I wonder if it would see play at all - certainly it would lose a vast amount of its power.
Replacing itself cheaply is great, but preventing yourself from drawing a bunch of rubbish is a major boon.
Yes. It would be awesome in Standard and you can get around the shuffle effect in other formats because of fetches. 1 CMC manipulation+cantrip will almost always be good.
Really? Since its looking like UB/Esper Delver may just end up coming back again.
I don't know if I'd say that. Playing Delver without library manipulation is not a good prospect. Maybe an esper tempo deck but I don't see it containing Delver unless we see some common/uncommon cantrip with manipulation in the set.
Seems decent in a Esper Reanimator/Solar Flare-esque deck too. Fights off early aggression, counters sorceries, and helps dump your creatures/unburial into the yard and keep your live draws on top.
Bit nervous that i haven't seen Blue get another ponder effect. Though i can't say i'd be upset without it.
They won't be getting one in the Core Set, having another 1CMC manipulation cantrip would be really silly. It looks like from the # crunch that Visions of Beyond will be getting reprinted. I am sure that there will be something to replace Ponder along the lines of SV or SoH in RTR.
What you wind up with is a card they simply don't have to deal with. You cast your misthollow griffin? Ok, I fork a time stretch by casting lingering souls alone. I'm going to enjoy the next 4 turns. I mean, why bother removing it? You're talking about paying 3WUUU to soak up each removal and recur a 3/3 flying and 1/1 flying. Its not exactly game winning tempo there. I mean, for the 7 CMC price of recursion, you could drop a titan with room to spare, keep your CA even if they answer it, and win the game outright if they don't.
Yeah because of all those times I main phase a Moorland Haunt only to cast the creature again.
Couldn't miracle it because you couldn't cast it.

Think Yeva is still better than this guy too.

Might wanna check that last one in terms of countering
