Ah! You're gonna love this guy!
Abzan Siege
Rhino is here.
A ton of powah.
Genuflect!

With a life loss of threeeeee.
Trampling all the Mardu Hordes!
Blocked a 100 Sultai with swords!
Ignores honeyed Jeskai words!
It's RHINO, SIEGE!
The leviathan is cool and dumb at the same time... I don't get why does it have Prowess :S I mean, an enormous beater that gains +1/+1 until EOT while you cast something? don't get it. I don't think it's the new Aetherling, I would play Prognostic Sphinx every day.
Why it has prowess, in flavortext form!:
"It has lived as long as Jeskai itself, and learned along side us.The call of the Temur cannot overshadow enlightenment." -Narset, Enlightened Master
MAD PROPS! If nothing else, it is the biggest turtle in MtG. I like how to make it really good you kinda gotta durdle...its the giant durdle turtle.
I want to use conspiracy to make a durdling ninja turtle which would that be, Donatello you think?
I can do you one better! Summon Meandering Towershell with Master Biomancer on the field and Conspiracy naming "Ninja." Then cast Xenograft naming "Teenage" and BAM. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. This should be an alternate win con.
Wow, what a cool, weird card. Sooo sloooowwwwwwwwww. But in Limited, if you're in Green, you're absolutely playing this, and they are absolutely not getting past it. Or in Legacy, Stifle dat! (okay, not really)
How fast are Turtles where you are? (I'm assuming it's a turtle cause it's swimming, but there's honestly a chance, if the think is big enough, it's really a tortoise who's just walking along the bottom of the ocean)
There's an old card with a turtle who has an island on his back. I'm sure it's been mentioned here by now, but i don't wanna look back. Someone remind me! That card and Giant Turtle have finally procreated. Took about as long as regular tortoises do, Rest in Peace, George.
Everyone keeps calling it Hunt the Weak, Prey Upon, ect. Why aren't people just calling it what it is, Pit Fight? Instant speed fighting spell. I don't think the third ability will be too relevant in standard, but whoo boy, was Gruul Charm ever a beating in limited in the right decks. This is a different type of falter, but there probably won't be many fliers with power 4 or greater (Speaking of which, is Sarkan considered our obligatory dragon? Did....we do it? Have we encountered a set without a single Creature - Dragon in it?), this should probably win out a lot of games, provided you haven't used it yet.
I'd like to see a weird but crippling ability for his planeswalker ult. maybe something akin to.
"You get an emblem which says "All spells are colorless and mana iis spent as if though it was colorless. Your opponents spells and activated abilities cost X more, where X is the current loyalty of Ugin."
Just a spit ball.
Here's the real Flavor text. "It is said that the Sagu Mauler often looks at the sky, with eyes almost earnest to reach it. Who are we, the Simic, to deny such desires? -Yardin Vew, Original Sky Swallower Victim
Didn't they mention something about this being a time travel-y set? What if Fate reforged is in the past? Before Khans. I dunno. I had a few other points while I was reading the comments but now I lost them. Someone else, make something of this is you can.
I'm just personally glad that Sorin is getting a new card (he's muh favorite Planeswalker) and his colors really make me want to play Abzan.
Oh and his art is reeeeeally cool I think.
Anyway, is Ugin (was, whatever) a Planeswalker too? Or is he just a dragon?
From what we know, he was a dragon spirit planeswalker. A pre-Mending one.
And a bit more of a history lesson, for those who didn't know or couldn't guess, Ugin and Sorin were two of the three planes walkers that sealed off the Eldrazi. Which is why it's so sad, since it's implied that sorin and ugin were buddies and planeswalkers being friends is hard to come by these days.
This has probably been said already, but this thing does say "Untap each creature you control with a +1/+1 counter." But doesn't say anything about the creatures having to be tapped or itself. So, It's a better representation of its effect: "During your opponents untap step, untap all creatures you control. Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control."
So, if you pass the turn, isn't this thing a 6/8? For 5? Isn't that good?
Hello, citizen of 1994! I like your interpretation and this card with this text would have played like you are thinking, 20 years ago. But nowadays, the wording is meant to read as it says: it untaps anything with a +1/+1 counter already on it during each untap step. It can't add +1/+1 counters on its own. So, basically, it gives creatures you dump counters onto (like Polukranos) vigilance, and occasionally does shenanigans with cards like Gyre Sage in multiplayer.
I should learn to read cards. ;^;
At least you didn't think that you had to use a physical +1/+1 counter to preform the action of moving the card 90 degrees, that's something.
We've all had to find ways to make Vile Bile work somehow :c

You can't do that. The planeswalker redirection rule states that if an opponent would do damage to you, then they can choose to redirect it. You can't redirect damage you're causing to yourself.
Bleh, you're right. The sad thing is I'm sure I read that rule many times and just mentally replaced "opponent" with "player".

Also, it's a pretty cute throwback to Giant Turtle
