Yes you can, actually, you already win by pod out two titan.
Hex Parasite will be over kill

But if you take the counter off you get two titans AND a 6/5...Winning! It's not just for U/x decks anymore :3

Werewolves will never be more than a tier 2 deck so I don't know what your talking about.

I don't see why not, they have answers for everything U/W or G/W Humans can throw at them, and as for as Wolf Run goes they can just alpha strike them harder than Wolf Run can go off. If you think more on what r/g color combo has against the format, it's not too far of a stretch to see this being a very real standard deck.

It seems like another vengevine situation, where WotC failed at coming up with a new green mythic and just said "screw it lets move [generic green beater] up to mythic, what could possible go wrong?"

Except, in the case of vengevine, the generic green beater was actually good.

This guy is too ;). I for one hail our new Insect Overlords with wide open arms. Makes me think of Starship Troopers.

It's conditional because they have to attack for the bonus to happen. Rolleyes

Huntmaster you get the 2/2 and the life straight away... just by resolving it you get this thing called "value".

Instigator Gang you get a conditional bonus requiring you to play other bad werewolves to make full use of it.

Then if they kill it you got nothing.

You see huntmaster gives you value in any deck with RG, where as Gang gives you nothing unless your a bad werewolf deck.

You keep saying that, but when you see R/G Werewolves as a Tier 1.5 deck i think Kruin Oulaw, Huntmaster, the Gang, Mayor and a certain captive are going to have a little heart to heart moment. When i say heart to heart, i mean more disembowelment, less touchy feely.

This card is just a new beater.
There is nothing epic about this card, nor is it more unique or special about this card than other common or .

Just because they broke their own rule in the past doesn't mean

That is a bad excuses, they have printed some of the best limited card at lower rarities before, and when the full set list comes out what are the odds that this will be one of the best 10 cards in limited.

It continues a trend of printing cards that don't belong at mythic at mythic. Do you really think they added mythic rarity not to make more money?

It's still a bad trend, it is a beater that appears efficient, and in the right environment could be a staple.

Look at your list of cards you used to justify this card, those are cards people who are worried about mythic creep didn't like because they weren't epic, and next time Wotc prints a card that is crosses the line more this card will be the next list of precedents to show it is ok.

I believe MaRo and the rest of the guys in R&D have way more right and clout to say if this is a Mythic or not. They said it is, and I trust their judgement. So please stop whining, look at the new shinies, and bow before Gleemax.

I can see why it's a mythic, it's a big exiting green fatty. Think of it like Rampaging Baloths. It's big with trample, and it has an ability that is unique to the set. I think the difference is that his one is playable and people don't want to pay out the nose for it cuz it doesn't seem like it should cost that much.

I can see this guy fitting into the mono green beatdown deck
    2 drop as strangleroot geist
    3 drop as dungrove elder
    4 drop as thrun
    5 drop as this guy
seems like a pretty nice curve to me, as they are all aggressive creatures that dodge some degree of removal

I like the way you think

If you played and resolved titan on turn 6 you should be winning the game.

Mikaeus is win-more in that situation and every situation.

When i get the decklist going i'll show it to you, it has to have options for late game besides recasting Gravecrawler every turn and not being able to swing or block. I don't see it as win more, I see it as win assurance.

Well he combos with Triskelion and many other stuff ; beside being a creature that is big enough to win on its own.

    Triskelion combo :

Triskelion 1/1 + 3x +1/+1 ; gets +1/+1 from him ; use the +1/+1 counters to shoot 2 times at Triskelion itself and 1 at your opponent.
Repeat with an extra +1/+1 counter as much as you like.

Also works with Persist i assume ; but less combo like (as you need an extra sacrifice).

So what ever he is ; EDH makes it a combo card, if he finds a way for Standard is questionable ; but i would not count him out.

I buy all i can get for ~2$ thats for sure.

Am i missing some bit of rules text where you have to have Trike shoot itself? If you take all the counters off and burn your opponent, it's still going to die, and come back with more counters on it correct?

For everyone saying that he takes up a titan slot and therefore won't be played I offer this to you. Play Titan ON turn 6 and play Mikaeus on turn 7, he works better with Grave Titan. Go ahead use your removal on my titan, he's just going to come back with more buddies Mikky 2.0 is going into my new Standard Playable Zombie Deck.
So you board wipe me? Most of my stuff comes back. So you point removal him and THEN board wipe me? Zombie Apocalypse laughs in your face.

I'd love to see someone pull an infinite life stunt with Viscera Seer, Kitchen Finks, and Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Scry for Murderous Redcap with the infinite sac, then pull an infinite damage stunt with Redcap the very next turn. If I play Runed Halo naming Redcap on my next turn, I'd love to see them infinite Scry again for Harmonic Sliver instead. In short, you can replace Mikaeus the Dead and Flayer with one Standard-legal 2-drop and the combo becomes a lot sleeker and faster to get out.

But you lose style points, and style points is where it's at yo.

Why! Why must Trike not be in Standard! Mono B or U/B Heartless Summoning combo would make me laugh so hard, have fun trying to win U/W Humans XD. Alas, it was in m11, and not m12

If they made this a 4 drop, you know what I'm not going to open that can of worms. Needless to say, 5 mana is where it should be at.

His environment in a competitive meta.

Tap out turn 5 for him, next turn he swings, he either gets vapor snagged, gideon lawkeepered, doom bladed, dispatched, or decimated by a titan on turn 6 because he doesn't have haste.

The fact that he doesn't have haste makes him an average card. He can't do anything on his own except be a one time recurring pest. And either way if you can protect him he requires 4 turns to actually kill. He is at the same power level as bloodgift demon but even he doesn't see competitive play.

The point is that he is good but he doesn't warrant a spot in any competitive 60 card list.

If you are hardcasting this guy there is something wrong with you.
