To be fair on Disney they did Charles Perrault version (glass slipper, pumpkin carriage, fairy godmother) which didn't have the eye goring.
They did let it slide for the movie version of Into the Woods tho.
Because the stage version of Into the Woods had both stepsisters losing their eyes as well. they didn't omit much (sans the mysterious man and No More...)
Wow so...this set looks like it's going to be a super fun draft format. A 5/5 for 5 that can't be chumped? a solid removal spell in green at common, and Return is wow..that's a pretty spicy uncommon, especially if you get the adamant version.
Probably, because it's easier to design.
