Yes you can. Since the Jest has a later timestamp, it will remove the protection ability from the creature (although the creature will still get +2/+2 from the Ward, since the Jest makes it into a base 1/1 and will keep the bonus).

thats what i thought it would do, many other players around me thought otherwise (but one) in the end we decided on its just a 3/3 with pro 5 color for the sake of going faster
opponent has a creature with spectra ward, i cast polymorphist's jest. after the jest resolves am i able to target the newly changed creature? (came up today at the M15 prerelease in a game of mine (which regardless of this interaction worked out))
it really does. i personally wouldnt play it as i wouldnt have green in this deck, and i like to cap CMCs at 4 without green (maybe one 5cmc if its worth it)
Emrakul has protection from this thing anyway, so the only thing this doesn't kill on toughness alone (which itself has fixed toughness) is the Wurm.
Anyway, just play Phyrexian Crusader, then stick Sword of War and Peace on another creature you control, play this (your own creatures helping to reduce the cost) and you're up. Quite good against Grave Titan as well. Other than that it's probably going to cost too much mana most of the time.

i want to use this im my Rhys token deck.... but i cant. id hate to have it sent at me still though.... except if i have my "make everything 200+/200+ for about 5 mana" combo working in time. then its a flail
edit (for detailed clarification): primalcrux and erebos' ability based on mana symbols do not refer to "other" permanents and thus count themselves

except they do that already, i got rift bolt when it was that month, it wasnt in standard OR extended at the time.

unless your running an aggro deck involving white and you run personal Sanctuary. still bad, but works a bit better
