Oh no! I have spent my magic the gathering life here.
I came here looking for safe haven after I got laughed at for my terrible janky deck ideas on the official forums but I cam here and found a community willing to help me improve as a deck builder.
And through your help I have turned so many janky dreams into real decks
Thank you everyone :'(
4 Vault Skirge
4 Viridian Emissary
4 Perilous Myr
3 Glissa, the Traitor
2 Painsmith
2 Lumberknot
2 Oliva Voldaren
3 Throne of Geth
2 Motarpod
2 Ichor wellspring
2 Mycosynth wellspring
2 Rachet Bomb
2 Sphere of suns
3 Curse of Stalked Prey
2 Volt Charge
Lands
8 Forest
5 Swamp
5 Mountain
Some of the card choices are a bit iffy because I have them lying around and but they seem to work well here.
My mana base has no duals no real reason I just don't have any. I think 18 is too low despite 6 ways of land searching and nothing costing more than 4 mana... I am thinking I should drop something (probably Painsmith) for more lands.
I have doom blades because I have some without a home, it has already got me into trouble while testing, opponents running black :S.
The basic idea is a lot of Anti Creature Spells + Curse of stalked Prey + Proliferate.
Spined Thopter and Steel Hellkite as my fliers.
perhaps Side board Thopter against flier heavy decks?.. I quite enjoy Prototype portaling them as well.
Vedalken Cretarch pops illusions.
It has to be Blue/White.
artifacts hmm
Sensor splicer and Golems?
Hexproof creatures
Invisible stalker
Aven Fleetwing
Giest of Saint Traft
conditionally Angelic overseer
Lord of the unreal gives illusions Hexproof
hmm looking at the vigilance options
Intangible Virtue
Giest Honored Monk.
I think you should go over to the U/W Humans competitive section and take a look at it... I think that is where this deck is headed.
Artifacts wise it seem like the Swords are the best to put on Invisible stalker, Giest and Angel.

I love Myr's but this deck is still quite a bit slower than the normal Tempered Steel Deck which I feel just works better.
I ended up playing Myr's in a Wolf Run Shell instead..... the prospect of infinite mana on Kessig Wolf Run or Devil's Play was too tempting. It doesn't have the consistent combo but it does have a lot more aggro than normal wolf run.
Solare Flare Budget discussion thread should help you.

Just the Wurmcoil Engine that is worth more than the rest of the deck.
for instance.
You could spend less than $10 for a Grand Architect Deck put in the Wurmcoil engines and win games with a turn three wurmcoil engine.
You just seem like you are here to make a fuss and have a tantrum over nothing. I know how you feel I got frustrated and put off when can here and all of my deck idea's and just got replies that said "add $200 worth of cards and it will be a great deck"
I am a budget player and I really really enjoy getting the best out of 40c rares.
I am also not a fan of Titans. but the card that pisses me off the most in standard right now is.... Wurmcoil engine was I ever to open on in a booster I would sell it and buy myself a whole new deck rather than use it.
Your deck.... it isn't going to work.... My Psychosis crawler + Time Reversal deck has more of a chance of winning games (because I have won games with it) than this deck.I am aware it is a re animator deck but you don't build decks with nothing to play for the first 6 turns... most decks will win the game before you do anything.
There is a little primer about how to build better decks that is stickied in the forum have a read of that.
A deck requires a mana curve your deck is way too top heavy even for a reanimator deck..you should have a much lower cost deck with 4 finnishers not 7 finnishers.
What does Blue have that Red White and Black don't?.... Card draw and Counters. but there are ways around that.
R/W/B are all amazing at destroying perminates.... Day of Judgement Oblivion Ring, Doom blade, go for the throat, Slagstorm, galvantic Blast, brimstone volley etc.
You should focus on board wiping all creatures repeatedly this will allow you to use Mimic Vat to great effect and keep Aggro from killing you before you can reanimate anything.
Getting things into the graveyard... hmm the best way is coming in Feb and I can't talk about it but look at the spoilers...It might be possible to blue splash just so you can use Desperate Ravings for card draw and discard. It is great card draw and the discard is a bonus. Liliana of the veil is however by far the best way to do it.
you need low cost creatures that you don't mind dying.... Doomed traveler probably the best 1 drop but you don't have a lot of plains currently to back him up. Perilous Myr always good and colourless...Black and Red both have a number of creatures suited to sacrifice search around for some.
Creativity is good but you have to know when an idea isn't going to work.
Just need Lashwraithe.
Plauge stinger is a common.. get some.
Or if you are dead set on blue.... Blighted agent
Psychosis crawler Deck.
I crushed someone that was using the graveyard based Event Deck.
He had a 14/14 bonehoard and boneyard Wurn but I killed them both off with Time reversal then swung for an extra 7 in a nice 14 damage burst.
So I had a go at building a deck....
Deathtouch + Curse of Stalked Prey + Proliferate. Then things that gain advantage from death of creatures so either I get stronger or I get stronger and damage them.
Glissa + Throne of Geth + Perilous Myr..
Motarpod
In brief testing I actually got mana flooded which was annoying i didn't have a lot of time yesterday unfortunately.
I will play around more there is a lot of options... unfortunately my love of using cheap ineffiencient cards tends to get in the way of making a good deck. (I got Olivia when she was $5 )
my GA deck still has Prototype potal though because it is a ridiculously fun card... Mindslaver lock muwhahahahahaha.
Someone had a Blue Black infect decklist that was Proliferate heavy and it seemed like a great deck for Lux cannon.
Thrummingbird. Viral Drake, Inexhaustible tide etc.
I think Artifact proliferation decks need to be in white... Day of judgement, Oblivion Ring, Gideon etc.
Blue + white instead.... you can add Leonin relic warder + suture Preist + Phyrexain metamorph and get yourself infinite life.
My current spell package is 3 X mana leak, 3 X negate. (my full deck list is hidden somewhere in this thread)
having 6 counters means you are highly likely to have the counter ready when you need to play Grand Architech.
I also have Gitaxin Probe and Steel stabotage as sideboard cards.
But I see a lot of Vapour Snag and Ponder in these decks.
What advantages do these have over going with straight counters?
I am not running a delver and it isn't a blightsteel combo deck so I wasn't sold on Ponder...
Azure mage is actually my only card draw... but I didn't really think ponder helped a lot while I was testing my deck.
I like Vapour snag in general but I really focused on protecting my Grand Architect with my spell choices.... should I really be using it?...Is the negate route a very anti control and Vapour snag the anti agro card?...
I have also considered Turn Aside... because I tap out a lot and it is easy enough to leave 1 free.
I am dissapointed that it doesn't have Hexproof like LumberKnot (which is a cool card that is way too slow) and Dungrove Eldar.
there is potential but I think we need to see if there is going to be more synergistic cards there is probably going to be a whole lot more self mill cards.
if you think about it Faithless Looting can set it up very fast since you can choose what to dump.
